Aadi Bioscience develops and commercializes medicines that target the mTOR pathway, focusing on rare and difficult-to-treat diseases. Its lead product, nab-sirolimus (ABI 009), is sirolimus bound to albumin nanoparticles designed for injectable use to treat advanced malignant PEComa, a rare cancer, and is being explored for other conditions such as treatment-resistant epilepsy. The drug works by inhibiting the mTOR signaling pathway, which helps control cell growth and metabolism. The company differentiates itself by concentrating on niche, high-need markets and pursuing orphan drug designations to gain market exclusivity, along with a specialized formulation that aims to improve delivery. Its goal is to advance clinical development, obtain regulatory approval, and bring novel therapies to patients underserved by current treatments, while potentially partnering with larger pharma companies for commercialization and expanding its indications.
