Ruchika Sharma appointed as Chief People Officer at New York Public Radio. New York, United States, May 2026 - Ruchika Sharma has started her new position as Chief People Officer at New York Public Radio, bringing extensive global experience in HR leadership, talent strategy, and organizational transformation. In this role, she will lead the organization's people strategy, focusing on strengthening culture, leadership capability, and talent systems to support the evolving needs of a modern, content-driven media organization. Ruchika Sharma joins New York Public Radio after serving as Chief People Officer at Achievement First, where she led a full-scale people function for a multi-state organization with over 2,500 employees. She played a key role in transforming the people function, aligning strategy, structure, and leadership to improve organizational effectiveness and long-term performance. Prior to this, she held the role of Chief People Officer at Universal Standard, where she partnered with the CEO to strengthen organizational design, leadership alignment, and talent strategy during a critical growth phase. Earlier, she spent time with Amazon Web Services, where she led global talent and leadership technology initiatives, building scalable systems to support leadership development and organizational growth. Her experience also includes leadership roles at GroupM, Bloomberg LP, and Standard Chartered Bank, where she led talent strategy, leadership development, and large-scale transformation initiatives across multiple geographies. She began her career with The Coca-Cola Company, building a strong foundation in HR leadership and business partnering. Ruchika holds an MBA in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur. New York Public Radio is a leading public media organization known for producing innovative radio programs, podcasts, and live events with a global perspective. Home to brands such as WNYC, WQXR, and WNYC Studios, the organization reaches millions of listeners through its award-winning programming, including Radiolab, The New Yorker Radio Hour, and On the Media. With a strong focus on storytelling and community engagement, NYPR continues to redefine public radio for a new generation.
