Acts Retirement-Life underway on 109-acre expansion at south carolina community. August 10, 2026 ROCK HILL, S.C. - Nonprofit senior living organization Acts Retirement-Life Communities is currently underway on a 109-acre expansion project at Park Pointe Village, a continuing care retirement community located in Rock Hill. Spiezle Architectural Group led the master planning and design process for the expansion. Upon completion, the expansion will add 130 new independent living residences, as well as 20 assisted living units, a memory care neighborhood and an 18,000-square-foot clubhouse. New amenities will include walking trails, pickleball courts, new restaurants and gathering spaces. A construction timeline was not disclosed. "This is more than just an expansion, it's a significant advancement of the Park Pointe Village lifestyle and the broader Rock Hill community," says Jim Petty, chief strategy officer of Acts. Acts currently manages 28 senior living communities across nine states.

Eaton Senior Communities, Lakewood, CO, has promoted Mary Ann Mulligan to chief operating officer (COO) and Tracy Swen to chief financial officer (CFO). The appointments expand the organization's executive leadership team and support its mission of providing affordable housing and services for older adults. Mulligan has been with Eaton Senior Communities since 2011. She joined the organization as director of HR and was named executive director in 2018. Acts Retirement-Life Communities names three executive Directors. Acts Retirement-Life Communities, Fort Washington, PA, has appointed Eric Tatlonghari, Lisa Peterson, and Darcell Collins-Robinson to executive director roles across its communities. Tatlonghari has been named executive director of Normandy Farms Estates, Blue Bell, PA. He previously served as executive director of Cokesbury Village, an Acts community in Delaware. In his new role, he oversees operations and resident services at the Blue Bell campus. Peterson has been appointed executive director of Azalea Trace, Pensacola, FL. Since joining Acts in 2022, she has held multiple leadership positions within the organization. Most recently, she served as interim executive director of the Pensacola community. Collins-Robinson has been named executive director of Cokesbury Village, Hockessin, PA. She joins the Delaware community from Magnolia Trace, where she served as executive director. Her background includes leadership experience in senior living operations and community management. Front Porch community welcomes kathleen McCarron as new executive director. Kathleen McCarron has been named executive director of St. Paul's Towers, Oakland, CA, a Front Porch community. She brings more than 20 years of senior living experience to the position. Prior to joining St. Paul's Towers, she served in leadership roles with Sunrise and Clearwater organizations, where she gained experience in community operations and resident services. Jacqueline Claessens returns to Horizon House as director of sales and growth. Jacqueline Claessens has returned to Horizon House, Seattle, WA, as director of sales and growth. She rejoined the continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in July 2026 after previously serving as chief marketing officer from 2007 to 2016. Claessens brings more than 20 years of experience in senior living sales, marketing and operations. Most recently, she worked as a senior real estate specialist with Windermere Real Estate and operated Claessens Senior Living Consulting. She also served as sales director at Watermark Retirement Communities and as director of marketing and sales at Emerald Heights. LeadingAge State Partner news. LeadingAge California selects susan DeMarois as next president and CEO. Susan DeMarois has been selected as the next president and CEO of LeadingAge California, effective October 2026. She succeeds Jeannee Parker Martin, who has led the organization for the past decade. DeMarois currently serves as director of the California Department of Aging, where she oversees statewide efforts supporting older adults, people with disabilities, family caregivers and local aging networks. In that role, she helped guide implementation of California's Master Plan for Aging. Her previous experience includes serving as Western regional director of government affairs for the Alzheimer's Association, assistant director of government and community relations at UC Davis Health System, and associate director of public policy at LeadingAge California. LeadingAge Pennsylvania adds three to Board of Directors. LeadingAge Pennsylvania has appointed Jennifer Kappen, Dyan McAlister and Amy Young to its Board of Directors. Kappen serves as senior vice president of affordable housing at HumanGood. She has more than 20 years of experience in senior living and nonprofit financial leadership. In her role, she oversees affordable housing operations and supports efforts to expand housing access and services for older adults. McAlister is chief finance and strategy officer at Presbyterian Senior Living. With 27 years of experience in nonprofit healthcare and aging services, she leads enterprise efforts related to finance, strategic planning, capital development and organizational transformation. Young serves as vice president of business development at Wagman Construction. She brings more than 21 years of experience in aging services and previously served as a nursing home administrator and executive director, providing operational and development expertise to the board.
