Advanced Behavioral Health is a nonprofit administrative services organization that coordinates mental health and substance abuse services in the Northeast, with a focus on Connecticut. It delivers administrative functions such as utilization management, provider network administration, claims processing, quality assurance, and data management, and it also directly provides care management and acts as a support hub for other providers. ABH partners with state agencies like DMHAS and DCF to run state-funded behavioral health programs, including Medicaid 1115 waiver initiatives, and operates programs such as ECCP, a Military Support Program, and Employee Assistance Programs. Its goal is to stabilize and strengthen the provider network, improve care coordination, and ensure accountable delivery of behavioral healthcare across the system.
