According to a press release issued today by the centre, with Allied World expanding and consolidating its regional presence in Dubai, it joins one of the fastest-growing insurance and reinsurance centres in the world. The DIFC has strengthened its position as a leading global centre for insurance and reinsurance, with total gross written premiums exceeding $4.2 billion in 2025, a year-on-year growth rate of 20%. Underwriting volumes have more than doubled compared to 2022. Premiums collected through brokerage firms in the DIFC exceeded $3.4 billion in 2025, an annual growth of 14%, in a clear indicator of the centre's expanding scope, development, and global importance as a leading regional platform for risk transfer, underwriting, and specialized insurance solutions. His Excellency Arif Amiri, chief executive officer of the DIFC Authority, said that the company brings extensive and specialized international experience in the insurance and reinsurance sector, enhancing the centre's ability to meet the evolving needs of clients in risk management and transfer across the region.
