Alpinestars motorsport boots: new arrivals for 2026.

Alpinestars motorsport boots: new arrivals for 2026. Alpinestars is back with new additions to their premium motorsport footwear range, raising the bar for race-ready performance in 2026. Known for blending cutting-edge materials with motorsport-specific engineering, their latest updates reflect exactly what drivers have been asking for: lighter gear, more comfort, and more choice. This year introduces the all-new Supertech Race Boots - a flagship boot designed for professional racers who need every possible edge on track. Built from the ground up with advanced materials like a fully knitted fire-retardant upper and a carbon heel structure, the Supertech aims to maximise driver connection and endurance across long stints. Alongside that, GSM Performance LTD. is excited to now offer the Alpinestars Tech 1-Z V3 boots in a fresh new White, Green, Gum and Silver colour option. These boots have already proven themselves with racers of all levels and this new colourway adds another great option for drivers looking to bring some style to their kit without compromising on features. Both options are FIA 8856-2018 approved, making them fully compliant for national and international motorsport use. Whether you're chasing tenths in a time attack car or lining up for grid starts at club level, Alpinestars now gives you more flexibility and choice than ever before. This blog breaks down both boots in detail so you can find the right fit, style, and performance balance for your next season on the grid. Why choose Alpinestars FIA Racing Boots? Alpinestars has earned its reputation as one of the most trusted names in motorsport gear, and their FIA-approved racing boots are a clear example of why. From club racers to Formula 1 drivers, Alpinestars boots are seen across paddocks worldwide because they consistently deliver on comfort, performance, and safety. So what sets them apart? * FIA 8856-2018 Approval: Every Alpinestars racing boot in its range meets the latest FIA standards for fire and heat protection, giving you peace of mind that your footwear is compliant and track-ready. * Driver-Focused Design: These boots are engineered with input from professional drivers. Whether it's improved pedal feel, lower weight, or ergonomic fit, every detail is developed to make a difference behind the wheel. * Innovative Materials: Alpinestars integrates high-tech features like ultra-thin rubber soles inspired by F1 boots, breathable fire-retardant fabrics, and stretch zones for better ankle movement. The result? A boot that feels light and natural, even during long stints. * Comfort That Lasts: Features like memory foam padding, speed lace systems, and perforated zones help reduce foot fatigue and improve ventilation - especially important during intense driving in warm conditions. * Style and Choice: Whether you want bold colours or a clean, classic look, Alpinestars offers options for every taste. Their wide size range also makes it easier to find the perfect fit. If you're investing in race boots that will serve you across seasons and disciplines, Alpinestars offers a hard-to-beat combination of compliance, performance, and comfort. The all-new Alpinestars Supertech Race Boots. The Supertech Race Boots are Alpinestars' most technically advanced race boots yet, engineered with serious motorsport use in mind. These are for drivers who need every edge when it comes to feel, grip, weight and long-term comfort. The standout feature is the fully knitted fire-resistant upper made from aramidic fibres. It feels more like a sock than a traditional boot, giving a close, adaptive fit without pressure points. Flexible ankle collars and stretch zones help the boot move naturally with your foot, which is ideal for endurance races where comfort matters just as much as performance. The thermo-formed carbon heel cup is built to lock your heel in securely, minimising foot movement and increasing stability under hard braking. Vibrations from the pedal box are soaked up by memory foam padding in the heel, which also helps reduce foot fatigue during longer stints. Add in the 3D-printed midsole with zoned cushioning, and you've got a boot that feels just as dialled-in underfoot as the rest of your setup. The thin F1-style outsole and asymmetrical tread design give excellent pedal sensitivity and grip in both dry and damp conditions. Supertech Race Boot highlights: * FIA 8856-2018 approved * Fully knitted aramidic upper for adaptive fit and breathability * Thermo-formed carbon heel cup for secure heel lock * 3D-printed midsole with multi-density support * Memory foam heel pad for vibration absorption * Seamless Achilles zone construction for comfort * Thin F1-style rubber outsole for optimal pedal feel * Lightweight lacing system and snug ankle fit These are serious boots for serious drivers, offering top-level control without compromise. * Klarna Ready Racing Shoes Alpinestars Supertech Race Boots From £356.00 Excl. VAT This product has multiple variants. The options may be chosen on the product page Alpinestars Tech 1-Z V3 - Now available in White/Green/Gum & Silver. Already a favourite with professional and club racers, the Tech 1-Z V3 is known for its blend of comfort, performance, and reliability. For 2026, it's now available in a fresh White, Green, Gum and Silver colour scheme, adding a clean new visual option that stands out in the pitlane. The boots themselves retain all the high-spec features that have made them so popular. The upper is made from premium soft leather, which provides durability and a premium feel while keeping weight low. Inside, you'll find micro-porous heel and footbed padding to improve comfort and reduce pressure on longer drives. What sets the Tech 1-Z V3 apart is the clever dual-closure system. It uses a speed lace design paired with a flat wire support system to give a tight, secure fit without hotspots. It's easy to get on and off, and once adjusted, it stays locked in place. The thin F1-derived sole offers precise pedal control and excellent grip, while the contoured shape keeps your foot supported under load. This is the kind of detail that makes a real difference in a car with stiff pedals or long braking zones. Tech 1-Z V3 key features: * FIA 8856-2018 approved * Premium soft leather upper * Speed lace and flat wire support system for secure fit * Fire-resistant elastic collar and tongue * Micro-porous padding in heel and footbed * Thin rubber sole derived from F1 design * Strategic perforations for airflow * Now available in new White/Green/Gum & Silver colourway This new colour joins an already popular lineup and adds even more personalisation for drivers who want their racewear to look as sharp as it performs. * Klarna Ready Racing Shoes Alpinestars Tech 1-Z V3 Racing Boots From £289.00 Excl. VAT This product has multiple variants. The options may be chosen on the product page Comparing the Supertech and Tech 1-Z V3 Boots. While both boots are built to meet FIA 8856-2018 standards, they serve slightly different purposes depending on your needs and budget. Both options are excellent, but if you're after cutting-edge weight saving and sock-like feel, the Supertech is the one to go for. If you prefer a more traditional build with modern enhancements, the Tech 1-Z V3 is a fantastic choice. Supertech Race Boots * Designed for top-level racing * Lightweight, adaptive fit with carbon heel support * Maximum pedal sensitivity and long-distance comfort * Ideal for endurance racing, pro-level events Tech 1-Z V3 Boots * High-performance and durable * Traditional leather feel with secure lace system * Great pedal control and easy on/off * Suitable for all levels, from club to pro use Final thoughts: choosing the right Alpinestars boot. Alpinestars continue to lead the way when it comes to racing footwear. The Supertech and Tech 1-Z V3 boots are both brilliant examples of how driver comfort and performance can work hand-in-hand. If you're focused on weight saving and precision feedback, the Supertech Race Boot gives you all the tools to perform at your best on track. On the other hand, if you want a durable, well-balanced boot with excellent grip and an ergonomic fit, the Tech 1-Z V3 will not disappoint. Both boots are FIA-approved and packed with the innovation that Alpinestars is known for. With new styles and improved features for 2026, there's never been a better time to step up your racewear game. Ride safely: airbags are becoming standard for motorcyclists.

Ride safely: airbags are becoming standard for motorcyclists. Published on 14.04.2026 Alpinestars TechAir5 airbag and Plasma back protector Photo: AlpineStars Motorcyclist safety has taken a major step forward with the arrival of smart airbags. After helmets, they are now recognised as the most effective piece of equipment for reducing serious injuries. Discover this innovation at XCrossroads in Gridx, Wickrange. Technological innovation is redefining safety standards in the world of motorcycling. The motorcycle airbag is now establishing itself as an essential piece of equipment. Already regarded as the most effective form of protection after the helmet, it significantly reduces the risk of serious injury in the event of an accident, particularly when combined with protective elements featuring plasma technology. "We are witnessing a genuine paradigm shift," says Fabio Tinoco, managing director of XCrossroads. "Airbags are no longer the preserve of an elite few or the world of motor racing. They are becoming accessible and essential for all motorcyclists." The principle is simple and effective: whether worn as a standalone vest or integrated into a jacket, the airbag inflates in a matter of milliseconds in the event of a collision or a fall. It immediately protects vital areas - the neck, chest, back and abdomen - by absorbing the impact and minimising internal injuries. Two technologies coexist today. Mechanical systems, connected to the motorbike by a cable, are triggered when the rider is thrown from the bike. Reliable and more affordable, they are a tried-and-tested solution. But the real breakthrough comes from electronic airbags. "These models offer unrivalled accuracy and speed," explains Matthieu Degrave, sales manager at XCrossroads. "Using sensors such as gyroscopes and accelerometers, they continuously analyse the rider's movements and can detect both a fall and a head-on collision." Already mandatory in racing, these systems are gradually becoming the norm on the road. They meet a growing demand from motorcyclists keen to improve their safety without compromising on comfort. Among the leading products on the market, Alpinestars' Tech-Air(R) airbags - notably the Tech-Air(R) 3 and Tech-Air(R) 5 models - exemplify this development. Designed for everyday use, they combine a low-profile design, long battery life and optimal protection, with ultra-fast deployment without the need for a connection to the motorbike. "What makes it so appealing is its simplicity," adds Fabio Tinoco. "The airbag is worn just like a standard piece of clothing, operates independently and is suitable for all types of riding, whether cross, enduro or road." In Luxembourg, this equipment is available at XCrossroads, part of GRIDX, where motorcyclists can receive personalised advice. "Our aim is clear: to make this equipment widely available," concludes Matthieu Degrave. "The more widely it is adopted, the greater the reduction in the impact of accidents. Today, driving with an airbag is a responsible choice." As their adoption gains momentum, motorcycle airbags are emerging as a major development, set to become a safety standard. ALPINESTARS REVOLUTIONIZES THE FUTURE OF MOTOCROSS SAFETY WITH THE LAUNCH OF THE TECH-AIR(R) MX AIRBAG SYSTEM

Alpinestars revolutionizes the future of motocross safety with the launch of the TECH-AIR(R) MX AIRBAG SYSTEM. Following more than a decade of rigorous product development, continuous testing, and collaboration with top MX and Supercross athletes, Alpinestars introduces the Tech-Air(R) MX Airbag System, a groundbreaking addition to its autonomous Airbag technology lineup. Initially utilized and tested in pre-production form by Alpinestars professional racers, the Tech-Air(R) MX is now available to motocross riders worldwide, ushering in a new era of safety for the sport. TECH-AIR(R) MX AIRBAG SYSTEM Alpinestars has long been a pioneer in airbag protection for motorcycle racing, beginning with the Tech-Air(R) Race System in MotoGP in 2009, built on data collected from road racing since 2003. Continuous advancements, driven by extensive data from Alpinestars' global roster of racers, have propelled the Tech-Air(R) System to new heights. Similarly, the Tech-Air(R) Off-Road System has set the benchmark for protection at the Dakar Rally since 2019, leveraging data acquired from World Rally Championship racers since 2014. For Tech-Air(R) MX, Alpinestars has applied the same meticulous R&D approach, gathering data from AMA Supercross and motocross and FIM MXGP riders since 2016. This data has fueled the development of a sophisticated MX crash detection algorithm capable of rapidly activating airbag protection in the dynamic and unpredictable conditions of motocross, with different type of jumps, ruts, berms, and whoops. The Tech-Air(R) MX provides extensive and effective upper body protection in a compact chest protector that comes with an autonomous Airbag System embedded inside. Designed to be worn as a standard part of a rider's kit, over or under the jersey, the lightweight System ensures convenience without compromising performance. Activating the Tech-Air(R) MX is easy; simply attach the left buckle of the System to the Chest Protector, and an internal magnetic switch will detect the left buckle is closed and automatically turn on and activate the Airbag System. Detaching the left buckle will automatically deactivate and turn off the System. The Tech-Air(R) MX is a fully autonomous, industry-leading Airbag System equipped with six integrated sensors (one triaxial accelerometer and one triaxial gyroscope). These sensors monitor rider movements in real-time, transmitting data to the System's computer every millisecond - 1,000 times per second. Developed and analyzed through thousands of hours of riding and crash data, the System's algorithm precisely determines when to deploy the airbag before an impact or dangerous riding event. When a crash event is detected, the Airbag System deploys within 28 to 37 milliseconds, depending on the chest protector size (small to large). The inflated airbag provides impact absorption equivalent to an 82% reduction in transmitted energy compared to conventional passive chest protectors. The shoulder zones are also protected during deployment, even though in the riding configuration no passive protection elements are present in those areas, allowing full range of motion without restriction under normal riding conditions. This rapid deployment safeguards the rider's shoulders, chest, and back, delivering unparalleled coverage. CUSTOMIZABLE RIDING MODES Tech-Air(R) MX comes preloaded with a dedicated MX Mode optimized for motocross tracks. Additionally, it offers two customizable modes - MY RIDE 1 and MY RIDE 2 - configurable via the Tech-Air(R) App. Riders can select from four riding modes (the default MX mode, or MX RACE, ENDURO, and RALLY) tailored to specific disciplines, each with algorithms fine-tuned for crash detection in varied conditions. Riding Modes can be switched effortlessly using the LED display button or the app, providing flexibility for different riding scenarios. EASY GAS INFLATOR REPLACEMENT The System includes a quick-release cover for easy gas inflator replacement, with certification for up to six deployments before requiring service, assuming no damage to the airbag. TECH-AIR(R) APP AND SYSTEM SOFTWARE UPDATES Bluetooth connectivity enables seamless software updates via the Tech-Air(R) App, which also allows riders to monitor System status, battery life, and ride data through an enhanced Google Maps integration (subject to network coverage). A fully charged battery supports approximately 30 hours of active ride time, with an integrated LED display showing operational status, battery life, and selected Riding Mode. SUPERIOR PROTECTION The Tech-Air(R) MX provides CE L1 passive protection for the chest and back, with CE L1 active protection on the back when the airbag is deployed. Certified to Category II of the 686/89/EEC European PPE Directive and EN1621-4:2013, the System guarantees impact protection within 40 milliseconds to 5 seconds of full-pressure inflation, covering the rider's shoulders, chest, and back. AVAILABILITY The Tech-Air(R) MX Airbag System launches in Europe and international markets on December 11, 2025 - available online at alpinestars.comand at authorized Alpinestars dealers. Here's what MX riders & Factory Team Managers have to say about Tech-Air(R) MX: "Looking at it from the point of view as a team manager, of course you don't want your riders to get hurt, so maximum protection is what you're looking for. Now I'm really happy with the evolution of the airbag and my son, even if he's only racing on national amateur level, will not ride without it, that's for sure." - Joel Smets, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager " "At first, MX Vice Ltd asked its riders to test it and provide feedback to Alpinestars. The product was already very developed when MX Vice Ltd received it, so there were very few comments - they took to it right away.
