Overview

Amethod Public Schools is a nonprofit charter school network serving students from underserved communities in Oakland and Richmond, California. Its college preparatory program combines structured academics with character development, with schools spanning elementary, middle and high school education. Schools use student learning data to guide instruction and work with families to maintain high academic expectations and consistent classroom routines. The tuition-free schools are open to all students and receive public funding, while each charter sets academic and operating commitments subject to oversight by an authorizer. Founded in 1993, the organization is headquartered in Richmond, California.
