Ampact

Operator of evidence-based AmeriCorps programs

Overview

Ampact is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit that implements evidence-based AmeriCorps programs at scale, recruiting, training, and supporting trained service members who address community needs in education, addiction recovery, and housing stability. It runs education programs such as Reading Corps, Math Corps, and Early Learning Corps, along with Recovery Corps for substance use disorder and Heading Home Corps for housing instability, placing members who receive biweekly pay, tuition assistance, and health insurance while they serve. What sets Ampact apart is its focus on rigorously evaluated models—Reading Corps and Math Corps have been recognized by Evidence for ESSA, the What Works Clearinghouse, and National Student Support Accelerator—delivered through the AmeriCorps national service structure. The goal is to solve complex social problems through proven AmeriCorps programs, supporting more than 3,700 members annually across 13 states.
