Barcelona-based Energiot Devices has raised €1.5 million in a Series C round led by climate tech fund Inclimo, with participation from EASO Ventures, BStartup from Banco Sabadell, and Axon Partners Group. Existing investors InnoEnergy and Axel Carbon Capital also supported the round. Founded in 2017 as a spin-off from Barcelona's Institute of Microelectronics, Energiot has developed battery-free IoT sensors that harvest energy from electrical lines using piezoelectric technology. The patented system eliminates the need for battery replacement and periodic maintenance in power infrastructure. The 14-person company has executed 16 projects with 10 major European grid operators across six countries, including Iberdrola, Red Eléctrica de España, Enel and Alliander. Recent pilots have converted into contracts with Iberdrola and Lithuania's Litgrid. The funding will support team expansion, hardware industrialisation and commercial growth across Spain, France, Italy, Belgium, Lithuania and the Netherlands.
Múltiplo Capital has closed a pre-seed funding round of €950,000, with participation from Antai Ventures and several private investors including Fintonic co-founder Aitor Chichetru, Rappi co-founder Sebastián Mejía, and former SelfBank CEO Alberto Navarro. Alongside the funding, Múltiplo has received authorisation from Spain's securities regulator CNMV to operate as a financial advisory firm. The company aims to provide financial advice to clients outside traditional private banking, targeting those with liquid assets of at least €30,000. Múltiplo does not sell proprietary financial products nor has preferential distribution agreements with any institution. CEO Cristian Merino brings over 15 years of financial sector consulting experience, having previously founded Finanbest, which was acquired by MyInvestor.
