IEA Life Sciences Exporters Forum comes to Cork. Exporting with Confidence: Regulation, Resilience & Growth from the Southwest Dublin & Cork, 19th March 2026: The Irish Exporters Association (IEA) today announces that it will host a Life Sciences Exporters Forum on Tuesday, 12th May 2026 at Fota Island Resort, Co. Cork. This is the first of two Forums which the IEA will run in conjunction with Aramex and Biocar in 2026. Running from 08:30 to 13:00, the half-day event brings together exporters, researchers, industry leaders, and innovators from across Ireland's life sciences sector for a morning of expert insight, open discussion, and peer connection. The second Form will take place in the Autumn. Ireland's life sciences sector is one of the most significant contributors to the country's export economy, and the companies behind that success face a demanding and fast-changing global environment. The forum is designed to give those companies the tools and connections they need to keep moving forward. Sponsored by Aramex and Biocair, the event will cover the current global trade climate for exporters, the practicalities of scaling internationally, and the compliance challenges companies encounter as they enter and expand in global markets. A highlight of the morning will be a keynote address from Minister of State Jerry Buttimer TD, alongside a panel discussion on Cork's position as a centre for life sciences research, collaboration, and investment. The speaker line-up draws from across Irish life sciences manufacturing and research, including representatives from, Ana Bio, Alexion, Bausch & Lomb, Maynooth University, CABR, HRB-TMRC, and University College Cork. The forum concludes with a networking lunch. Simon McKeever, CEO, IEA: "Ireland's life sciences exporters are operating at the sharp end of global trade. The regulatory demands are significant, the logistics are complex, and the stakes are high. This forum is an opportunity for companies across the south west to come together, hear from experts who understand those pressures, and take something practical back to their businesses. We are delighted to bring this event to Cork and to have the support of Aramex and Biocair in making it happen. The speaker line-up for Cork draws on some of the most respected names in Irish life sciences manufacturing and research. We look forward to welcoming the life sciences community to Cork and to building on this series in the years ahead." Frank Kilbride, Director and Country Manager, Aramex Ireland: "Ireland's life sciences sector is one of the country's most significant export drivers, operating in highly regulated and complex global markets where compliance, reliability, and speed to market are critical. As a logistics partner, Aramex plays a key role in enabling these businesses to move products efficiently and securely across international markets. The Shannon Chamber is delighted to support the IEA Life Sciences Exporters Forum in Cork alongside Biocair, providing a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and helping exporters build resilience for continued global growth." Aramex launches a global data structure based on artificial intelligence. February 25, 2026 15:09 PM two-minute read. Aramex, a global provider of comprehensive transportation and logistics solutions, announced the launch of a new global data structure based on an 'AI-first' approach. This unified platform was developed using Google Cloud, establishing a 'single source of truth' model across Aramex's global network, bridging the gap between complex logistics operations and immediate, actionable operational intelligence. This initiative is a fundamental pillar in Aramex's commitment to leading the logistics services sector through speed, data intelligence, and customer-centricity. By transitioning from traditional infrastructure to a modern Lakehouse architecture, Aramex is institutionalizing its data management capabilities, ensuring accuracy and operational flexibility on a large scale. Three strategic pillars This transformation is based on three key strategic pillars aimed at enhancing operational performance across Aramex's presence in over 70 countries. By focusing on accelerating data processing, the company ensures high operational efficiency and rapid delivery of insights and analytics globally. This is supported by a flexible approach that enables the organization to adapt to market changes and expand smoothly. Ultimately, these capabilities provide more precise analytical insights, allowing executive management to make informed decisions based on real-time data. The program is not limited to technical updates alone; it contributes to achieving strategic outcomes that redefine Aramex's operational mechanisms. By entrenching the 'single source of truth' model, Aramex ensures that all its departments and divisions, from last-mile delivery operations to corporate strategy, rely on a reliable and integrated database. This consistency enhances corporate trust levels by providing transparent and governed insights that support confident decision-making across various business units. The project is being implemented according to a phased, thoughtful approach, ensuring operational continuity and enhanced flexibility as it expands across Aramex's global network. The technical architecture is also designed to be future-ready, capable of complying with complex regulatory requirements and data localization standards in the various markets where the company operates. Accelerating the pace of achievement Françoise Rousseau, Chief Technology Officer at Aramex, said: 'Data is the fuel driving modern logistics, but its real value lies in how it is utilized. By developing an AI-first Lakehouse structure, we are not only updating our technical infrastructure but also empowering our teams to predict, adapt, and accelerate the pace of achievement unprecedentedly. This platform forms the foundation of our vision to become a technology-driven logistics force, capable of handling challenges with high precision and flexibility.' New standard Ziad Jammal, General Manager of Google Cloud in the UAE, the Levant, and North Africa, said: 'Aramex is setting a new standard for global supply chains. We are proud to provide the cloud infrastructure and foundational AI agent that enables Aramex to automate complex decisions and transform data into a sustainable strategic competitive advantage.'
