Ashgro

Fiscal sponsor for AI safety research

Website

Overview

Ashgro provides fiscal sponsorship for AI safety projects, handling admin tasks like accounting, HR, and grant management so researchers can focus on AI alignment. Projects operate under Ashgro’s 501(c)(3) status, enabling tax-deductible donations and grants that require a public charity without forming their own nonprofit. Ashgro processes funds and charges an administrative fee (about 5–10%) to cover operating costs, disbursing funds and handling compliance. Its goal is to reduce existential risks from advanced AI by supporting global AI alignment research and safe deployment.
