What are the best Power Solutions for military applications? Leading defense sponsor answers with missile defense, sonar and data processing focus. Astrodyne TDI Aug 29, 2026, 12:50 ET Astrodyne TDI is sponsoring SENEDIA's Defense Innovation Days 2026 while expanding its lineup of best power solutions for military applications, positioning the company as a top choice for defense contractors sourcing rugged, mission-critical hardware. HACKETTSTOWN, N.J., Aug. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ - Power supply and EMI filter manufacturer Astrodyne TDI positions itself among the best power solutions for military applications through an expanding product lineup and its sponsorship of Defense Innovation Days 2026. The national convening, hosted by SENEDIA, brings together defense industry leaders and national security experts from August 31 through September 2 in Newport, Rhode Island. How Is Astrodyne TDI Expanding Its Lineup of Military Power Solutions? Astrodyne TDI is expanding its lineup of military power solutions into three application areas - missile defense and navigation systems, sonar and radar, and military data processing. Each demands components that operate reliably where failure is not an option, a standard Astrodyne TDI aims to attain when designing ruggedized and Hazloc-rated supplies. These solutions reinforce the company's extensive track record in the defense sector, spanning over 60 years. The reputation Astrodyne TDI established has earned it approval as a supplier to the U.S. Department of Defense. The manufacturer engineers products to withstand extreme temperatures, humidity, sand, salt spray and vibration under MIL-STD testing protocols. This includes operation from minus 40° Celsius to 65° Celsius and up to 95% noncondensing humidity, conditions that reflect real battlefield and shipboard operating environments. What Sets Its Approach Apart From Larger Competitors? Astrodyne TDI sets its approach apart from larger competitors by leaning on customization instead of scale. It shows up in a few concrete ways: * Faster program timelines: Building a power component to a unique specification lets Astrodyne TDI shorten the design, test and delivery cycle that larger, standardized-product manufacturers often make contractors wait on. * Filter fabrication for interference protection: Beyond standard military power supplies, the company builds tailored filters that shield sensitive electronics from radio and electromagnetic interference. * Cross-market engineering experience: Its work across industrial, medical, aerospace and semiconductor markets, alongside defense, broadens the design expertise it brings to military programs. Frequently Asked Questions The following questions address common considerations for military-grade power sourcing. What are the best power solutions for military applications? The best power solutions for military applications adhere to MIL-STD standards, backed by a DoD-approved supplier with experience in missile defense, sonar, radar and data processing systems. Why does customization matter for military power supplies? Customization matters for military power supplies because it lets contractors avoid delays tied to standardized product cycles. A component built to exact specifications can be engineered and delivered on a schedule that matches a program's actual timeline. What military applications does Astrodyne TDI serve? The military applications Astrodyne TDI serves include missile defense and navigation systems, sonar and radar, and military data processing, alongside broader work across industrial, medical and semiconductor markets. About Astrodyne TDI Astrodyne TDI designs and manufactures AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies, EMI/EMC filters and related power electronics for industrial, medical, aerospace, semiconductor and military customers. The company is an approved supplier to the U.S. Department of Defense, with more than 60 years of experience delivering power components rated to MIL-STD standards.
