Sebastian Martel joins TFI International board. Effective July 31, Sebastian Martel will join TFI International's board of directors. Martel has served as CFO at BRP for almost two decades and holds an accountancy degree from McGill University. "We are excited to have Sebastian on our board, recognizing his leadership and contributions to BRP," stated Alain Bedard, chairman and CEO of TFI International. Atlas Van Lines promotes Ryan Parmenter. Atlas Van Lines has announced the promotion of Ryan Parmenter to vice-president of IT. After his role as senior director of enterprise architecture, he will enhance system efficiencies and a customer-focused approach. "Ryan's extensive experience makes him a significant asset to our senior leadership," remarked Ryan McConnell, president of Atlas Van Lines. Students discover careers in trucking. Over 35 high school students explored various career paths in trucking during an event organized by the Toronto Business Development Centre (TBDC), the Ontario Trucking Association (OTA), and Bison Transport. The event, part of TBDC's Skilled Trades Summer Camp, included presentations and a tour of Bison's facility, exposing students to roles within the industry. Shane Scoville named chief revenue officer at Teletrac Navman. Shane Scoville has been appointed as chief revenue officer at Teletrac Navman, previously serving as VP at Verizon Connect. He will head commercial operations and customer teams, with a focus on leveraging telematics solutions to stimulate growth, as stated by Alain Samaha, president of Teletrac Navman. Trucks for Change Network supports charity. The Trucks for Change Network (T4C) has reaffirmed its commitment to The For Good Foundation (TFGF) to provide food transportation services through the end of 2023. Twenty carriers are part of this initiative, delivering over 300,000 pounds of food to banks across Canada. "Our network's support has been crucial for the foundation's success," TFGF's founder noted. New scholarship established by Steed Standard Transport. Steed Standard Transport has collaborated with the OTA Education Foundation to create a scholarship honoring Gary Lebold, a longtime driver who passed away in 2021. Awarded annually to a third-year supply chain student at Conestoga College, the scholarship reflects Lebold's long-standing contributions to the company.
