Aurelius Systems has closed a $40 million Series A funding round co-led by Draper Associates and KAS Venture Partners, with participation from General Catalyst, Hanwha Defense USA, and others. The San Francisco-based company develops AI-powered counter-drone systems using autonomous directed-energy technology. The funding will advance Aurelius's flagship platform, Archimedes, and support vertical integration to reduce supply chain risks and accelerate delivery. The company will also expand production capacity and broaden its platform offerings into new markets. Aurelius recently completed integration partnerships with American Rheinmetall and validated its systems at military operations.
