Authorium offers a cloud-based software platform that automates and streamlines administrative tasks for government agencies. It handles document-centric workflows across procurement, contracting, policy and HR management, and grant administration, bringing these processes into one unified system from start to finish. The product is delivered as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) for public sector clients, enabling agencies to manage workflows and documents securely online. What sets Authorium apart is its explicit focus on unifying multiple government-specific workflows in a single platform, designed to fit procurement and grant management needs of public agencies rather than generic enterprise tools. The company’s goal is to help government entities modernize their operations, improve efficiency, and scale administrative functions as part of public administration modernization.

Authorium has appointed Amy Tong to its Board of Advisors to lead a national expansion of its government procurement platform. Tong previously served as California's Secretary of GovOps, Senior Counselor to the Governor, and State CIO, where she oversaw a $67 billion portfolio and 22,000 employees. The cloud-based platform connects government agencies with innovative suppliers, using AI to help match challenges with qualified vendors. Authorium embeds AI capabilities directly into procurement documents and workflows, operating within AWS GovCloud for security compliance. The company partners with California's Office of Data and Innovation and has worked with the state's Department of Finance on AI applications since spring 2025. Authorium serves approximately 50 cities, counties, and states, focusing exclusively on government administrative operations including procurement and contract management.
Authorium, an administrative operations platform for government, has appointed Chi-Kai Chien as Vice President of Engineering. Based at the company's San Francisco headquarters, Chien will oversee technical vision and the engineering organisation whilst supporting expansion across US public-sector partners. Chien brings extensive experience from previous leadership roles. At CareZone, he served as Head of Engineering, scaling the platform and team before Walmart's acquisition. Most recently, as VP Engineering at Pave, he managed a $24 million operating budget and strengthened enterprise readiness. He also held engineering leadership positions at Calm, NVIDIA and Marvell Semiconductor. Authorium's no-code platform, which earned FedRAMP High Authorisation in 2026, manages over $50 billion in government acquisitions across procurement, grants management and legislative analysis.
Authorium, formerly City Innovate, has raised $8M in a Series A round led by SJF Ventures and Govtech Fund. The funds will support hiring, R&D, and other areas. The company has opened a Washington, D.C., office to reduce travel and unite remote employees. Authorium also launched AuthorAI, a generative AI tool for creating statements of work, trained on 15 million government procurement documents.
City Innovate has named Molly Fitzgerald to the role of account executive for California state government.
In an effort to automate and streamline the creation of complex Request for Proposals (RFPs) for government agencies, City Innovate, a leader in Document Process Automation, has been selected for a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase 1 contract by AFWERX.
