Overview

BE A CHAMPION, INC. is a Texas-based nonprofit that runs after-school and enrichment programs for at-risk students from kindergarten through 12th grade across Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, and San Antonio. Its 90+ customized programs on 70+ campuses include STAAR tutoring, STEM activities, literacy, performing arts, and the Champion Fuel Food Program providing daily nutritious meals. Programs are funded by grants, program fees, and contributions, with a Texas Department of Education contract since 2014 to sponsor USDA Child and Nutrition Programs, serving over 2,500 children daily and generating FY2024 revenues above $5.9 million. The organization aims to support youth development through education, nutrition, and leadership mentoring in partnership with schools and communities.
