Cherry Hill, NJ - Bancroft has named Brian Hancock Acting Chief Executive Officer. Hancock, who has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2022, will continue to provide leadership and oversight across the organization's programs and services. "The Board has tremendous confidence in Brian and his leadership," said Heather Steinmiller, Chair of Bancroft's Board of Trustees. "Our commitment to our staff, the individuals we support, and their families remains unchanged. Bancroft is strong, stable, and focused on its mission, and Brian is well-positioned to lead the organization." Throughout his career, Hancock has focused on improving the safety, well-being, and outcomes of vulnerable and marginalized children, adults, families, and communities. Before joining Bancroft, he held senior leadership positions across New Jersey's health and human services sector, helping organizations strengthen programs and services for children, adults, families, and communities with complex needs. Hancock also served as President of the Board of Directors for the New Jersey Association of Community Providers and has been involved in humanitarian and advocacy work supporting at-risk and incarcerated youth across the United States and internationally. "I am honored to serve as Acting CEO and continue supporting Bancroft's mission during this time," said Hancock.
