National partnership between Theodor Bilharz Research Institute and Banque Misr. As part of strengthening cooperation among national institutions and supporting efforts to develop the infrastructure of healthcare and research organizations, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI), represented by Prof.Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Acting Director of the Institute and Chairman of the Board, signed an agreement with Banque Misr, represented by Mr. Hisham Okasha, Chief Executive Officer, to receive a grant designated for supporting the implementation of the first phase of the Institute's electrical power station development project. Orascom Development Egypt has secured a USD 356 million syndicated loan from Commercial International Bank, National Bank of Egypt, and Banque Misr. The financing package refinances an existing USD 119 million loan and provides USD 237 million in fresh capital to accelerate construction at O West, the company's flagship mixed-use development in 6th of October City. Chairman Iskander Touma told Asharq Business that construction at O West has surpassed 25% completion and the company expects to meet its delivery schedule. The deal reflects continued confidence in Egypt's real estate sector and demonstrates that established developers can access significant financing despite challenging market conditions. ORA Developers, the real estate firm founded by Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiris, has secured EGP4 billion ($80.6 million) in syndicated financing from four Egyptian banks. The funding will support construction of the company's ZED ElSheikh Zayed development in West Cairo. The latest deal brings ORA's total financing under the facility to EGP9 billion ($181 million). Banque Misr led the transaction, joined by Emirates NBD Egypt, Housing and Development Bank, and Export Development Bank of Egypt. Founded in 2016, ORA manages over $4 billion in assets with a development pipeline exceeding $45 billion across Egypt, Cyprus, Pakistan, the UAE, and Iraq. The company recently launched BAYN, a waterfront development between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
