Overview

Bay State Community Services is a nonprofit human services agency supporting children, adults, and families in southeastern Massachusetts. It combines behavioral health and substance use treatment with family support and services for people involved in the justice system. In-home therapy and care coordination work alongside state-funded youth residences, where teams address crises and prepare adolescents for adulthood. Most programs base assistance on need rather than ability to pay, and donations support people facing hardship. Formed in 1991 through a merger of five community agencies, the organization is headquartered in Quincy, Massachusetts.
