Beamlink

Expands rural connectivity with ultra-efficient towers

Overview

Beamlink builds wireless network infrastructure for carriers to expand service into rural and disaster-prone areas. Its main product is Bentocell towers, ultra-efficient wireless nodes that consume less power than a lightbulb and can self-calibrate during setup, removing the need for existing infrastructure and easing network management. The technology enables quick, low-cost deployment because the towers require minimal power and limited terrestrial support, cutting deployment costs to about 1% of traditional networks. This gives carriers a way to reach the 3.5 billion potential subscribers in underserved regions. Beamlink’s goal is to connect people by providing reliable internet access everywhere, improving access to education, healthcare, and other services.

Beamlink files to raise up to $4.8M for low-power rural telecom towers

Beamlink is raising up to $4,805,000 in new funding, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The notice covers an exempt offering of securities. The company helps carriers expand into rural and disaster-prone areas, which it says could unlock connectivity for 3.5 billion potential subscribers. Its towers, called Bentocells, use less power than a lightbulb and self-calibrate on setup, removing the need for existing infrastructure. Beamlink says this cuts deployment costs to just 1% per area compared with traditional networks. Mateo Abascal is chief executive officer.
