Beedie breaks ground on 60-acre Surrey industrial park. South Campbell Heights Business Park will bring more than 1 million sq. ft of industrial space to one of Metro Vancouver's fastest-growing logistics corridors. July 13, 2026 Beedie has officially started construction on South Campbell Heights Business Park, a 60-acre industrial development at 19084 20th Avenue in Surrey, BC. And it's a significant one - once complete, the park will deliver more than 1 million sq. ft of industrial space, positioning itself as the gateway to South Campbell Heights. The groundbreaking took place in late June, with Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke joining members of Surrey City Council and city staff, Beedie's development and construction teams, representatives from Cushman & Wakefield, and the project's first tenant partner to mark the occasion. For Beedie, the milestone builds on more than two decades of history in the city. Locke pointed to that track record in her remarks on the project. "Surrey continues to attract the investment needed to support our growing economy, and last week's groundbreaking is an exciting example of that momentum," Locke said. "More than 20 years after Beedie's first development in Surrey, South Campbell Heights Business Park represents a significant investment in employment, industrial growth, and economic opportunity." The park sits in Campbell Heights, a well-established industrial node with direct highway access to Highway 15 and Highway 99, putting the Canada/US border minutes away, alongside efficient connections to Highway 91 and Highway 1. The positioning also shortens travel times to Deltaport - Canada's largest container terminal - as well as Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and the broader Lower Mainland, making the site well suited to logistics, distribution, and last-mile operations. The surrounding area isn't short on amenities, either. Restaurants, cafés, retail, banking, hotels, and essential services all sit within minutes of the park, backed by a growing residential base and established commercial nodes that continue to shape Campbell Heights into one of Surrey's more dynamic business communities. With construction officially underway, completion details will follow as the project progresses.

Port Moody approves Beedie three-tower condo project. Beedie Group has received City of Port Moody approval to develop three condominium towers as part of a mixed-use project in the Vancouver suburb, according to multiple media reports. The transit-oriented project is located in the Spring Street area and will include almost 1,000 units across the three towers. The company is developing the project through its Beedie Living affiliate. Plans call for the towers to be up to 39 storeys. The buildings are to be located at 2806 Spring Street and 3060-3092 Electric Avenue. Mixed-use components will include non-market housing and employment spaces along with enhanced public areas, said Beedie. The project supports the city's transit-oriented development vision, the company added. The towers will comprise 972 residential units atop one-storey podiums that include retail, office, work-from-home and co-working spaces that could create up to 600 jobs, the Tri-City News reported.
