Tractor Supply rival Cascade Farm and Outdoor closes all locations in Pacific Northwest

Cascade Farm and Outdoor, a Bi-Mart-owned rural retailer serving the Pacific Northwest, is closing all its locations this spring. The chain, which competes with Tractor Supply, offers groceries, clothing, hardware, sporting goods and farming supplies to rural communities. Bi-Mart announced the shutdown despite describing Cascade as successful, stating the division lacked sufficient volume and momentum to contribute meaningfully to the parent company's future plans. Going-out-of-business sales have already begun at affected stores. The closures will leave residents in remote areas without convenient access to essential goods, forcing them to travel significant distances or rely on online retailers. Bi-Mart plans to offer affected employees positions at other stores where geographically feasible.
