Push the button on extended summer evenings: London's shortcut to summer. Push the button on extended summer evenings: Chauffeur service adds new spontaneity option to serve up London's best 9pm-5am experiences Guests are invited to say yes to one last stop on select London journeys this August - uncovering the capital's best after-hours experiences, from basement jazz to sunrise viewpoints 6th August 2026, London: Global chauffeur service Blacklane today launches 'Shortcut to Summer', whisking guests to a curated collection of London's hidden out-of-hours treasures. From 9pm to 5am, a limited-edition selection of first-class vehicles and their professional chauffeurs will offer guests one final, spontaneous stop before the journey home. Guests booking Blacklane's by-the-hour service between 14th and 15th August may find themselves in a car carrying the Shortcut to Summer Collection detailing London's hidden 9pm-to-5am haunts, from late-night arts and culture to perfect dawn vistas and the best after-hours restaurants. Alongside it sits The Blacklane Button, which - once pressed - signals to the chauffeur that the journey is not over yet, and it's time for the guest to embrace the flow of an extended evening with one more stop. James Dow, general manager UK & Ireland at Blacklane, says: "London has quietly become a city with a reputation for closing early. But if you know where to look, some of the city's best culture, hospitality, wellbeing and exploring can be uncovered by night. The most memorable evenings are never the ones you plan - and that's exactly the magic 'Shortcut to Summer' is designed to capture. One press of The Blacklane Button, and suddenly this vibrant city comes alive again - turning what was going to be the end of the night into the beginning of an adventure." Experiences featured on the Shortcut to Summer Collection include everything from saunas and sunrise walks to the hidden London that exists only in the small hours: * Restaurants and nightlife: Archive & Myth (Blacklane's official partner for the weekend), SOMA Soho, The Fat Badger, The Coburg at The Connaught, Chop Chop * Arts and culture: Ronnie Scott's, Barbican Centre, FRAMELESS Lates * Grounding and recentring: Arc, sunrise on Primrose Hill, the dawn chorus in Richmond Park * Hidden London: Sunrise tour of London, New Covent Garden Flower Market, Chauffeur's choice Leading the collection is Archive & Myth, Blacklane's official partner for the campaign - an award-winning cocktail bar concealed within The Hippodrome and serving a sensory-led drinks programme. Guests arriving via The Blacklane Button will find a dedicated table and a tipple on the house waiting for them. To experience a 'Shortcut to Summer', guests must book a Blacklane by-the-hour chauffeur journey for 14th or 15th August 2026. The experience is available in a limited-edition range of Blacklane's first-class vehicles in London, providing an extra spontaneous stop with Blacklane's compliments. Chauffeurs extend their service for up to two hours, before returning guests home - or flowing onto their next adventure. Journeys must be booked in advance. The launch arrives at a moment when spontaneity is in short supply: according to the Night Time Industries Association, the UK's late-night economy shrank by 27% between March 2020 and June 2025, and London's hospitality venues are increasingly calling last orders before 11pm - a curfew Blacklane's launch is designed to outrun.
90 per cent of leaders find travel unlocks their best thinking. Blacklane's new 'Finding Flow' report reveals how executives stay focused, productive and in control during business travel 24 June 2026, London: Nine out of ten business leaders and high net worth individuals (HNWIs) find that travel empowers their most valuable thinking according to new data unveiled at the Business Travel Show from the global chauffeur service Blacklane. The 'Finding Flow - How Executives Excel on the Move' report - commissioned by Blacklane and conducted by Censuswide to explore the business travel habits of 2,000 executives in both the UK and US - shows that, in reality, travellers struggle to achieve optimum performance when on the move. While most respondents know they can achieve 'flow state' - the deep focus, clarity, and purpose that drives creativity and performance - when travelling, 86 per cent find it difficult when on a work trip. The research is clear that seamless journeys materially improve productivity and decision-making. When trips run smoothly, 93 per cent say they are more productive - with 44 per cent saying significantly so. However, when travel is disjointed, uncomfortable and therefore achieving a flow state is elusive, the cost extends both across the trip and far beyond. Worryingly, more than eight out of ten (81 per cent) find it forces additional catch up work on their return. 79 per cent state it reduces the quality of their decision-making, 79 per cent report a reduced ability to perform their role, and more than three-quarters (77 per cent) say failing to reach the deep-focus zone disrupts productivity for the entire trip. Dr. Jens Wohltorf, founder and CEO, Blacklane explains: "Any frequent traveller knows that finding focus within a packed itinerary is hard to achieve. This new report highlights the stark impact of friction and frustration when on the move; when travel is not calm and controlled leaders simply cannot function at their optimum during the trip and often beyond. Travel schedules need to include the experiences that empower quality thinking, wellbeing and recovery. This includes adequate consideration for every aspect of the journey and not leaving elements such as ground transport to chance. Blacklane's chauffeur service takes care of every detail to ensure the highly valuable thinking time that powers success is protected." To get the best out of business travel, the research identifies the highly nuanced set of requirements that bring about a flow state. The top three most important factors influencing intense focus while travelling on business are feeling calm (86 per cent), feeling in control (84 per cent), and travelling with a trusted provider (83 per cent) showcasing that both emotional and practical needs must be met. When any element of the equilibrium is disrupted, travellers lose the productivity opportunity. Crowded or noisy environments with a lack of personal space are the top threat to clarity on the move (cited by 31 per cent), followed by inadequate technology (29 per cent), delays or uncertainty (28 per cent), and sensory overload or overstimulation (28 per cent). Unveiled at the London edition of the Business Travel Show, the research is also brought to life at stand H53, where guests visiting Blacklane can step into an immersive flow-state 'Pause Pod'. Tailored to help them relax, focus or re-energise, the pod is designed to create a sensory reset within the busy ExCeL venue. The research findings are published in a downloadable white paper from Blacklane. The 'Finding Flow' report was commissioned by Blacklane as the global chauffeur service continues to hone its efforts in reducing friction across every stage of a journey. Blacklane's personal service and attention to detail ensures discerning travellers arrive taken care of, and in the best possible state for what lies ahead.
