Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Institute

Non-profit hematology care for bleeding disorders

Overview

The Bleeding & Clotting Disorders Institute (BCDI) is a non-profit clinic network that provides integrated, family-centered care for people with bleeding and clotting disorders throughout Illinois and beyond. Its care model mixes medical treatment with support services through a team of hematologists, nurses, therapists, social workers, and dietitians, plus on-site lab work, an infusion suite, and an accredited specialty pharmacy, with expanding telemedicine and nine outreach clinics. Unlike many providers, BCDI is Illinois’ only federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Center of Excellence outside Chicago and engages in clinical trials and investigator-initiated research at its Dills Family Foundation Center for Research to advance therapies. The goal is to offer accessible, comprehensive, evidence-based care that addresses patients' physical, mental, and emotional needs while advancing treatment through research and community outreach.
