Sen departs Bloomberg Opinion, starts Substack newsletter. August 10, 2026. Posted by chris roush. Conor Sen, a Bloomberg Opinion columnist for the past 10 years, has left and started "Housing Frame," a Substack where he'll be analyzing the economy through a housing lens. "This journey around the country, formative experience with the mortgage market during its crisis, and years of writing about housing and the economy for Bloomberg Opinion have now led me to launch the Housing Frame," he wrote on his Substack. "Housing is people, it's places, it's feelings, it's data, and it's numbers in a spreadsheet - everything matters." Sen is also the founder and CEO of Peachtree Creek Investments. Evans and Partners uplifts MDA offering. The latest issue of Financial Standard now available as an e-newspaper Investment | / | / | / | / | Evans and Partners uplifts MDA offering BY KARREN VERGARA | MONDAY, 10 AUG 2026 12:21PM Evans and Partners chose Bloomberg's buy-side technology solution to expand its active bond managed discretionary account (MDA) offering. The wealth management firm, part of E&P Financial Group, will implement Bloomberg AIM as its order and investment management system, alongside AIM Compliance and Bloomberg's Post-Trade Solutions platform. The technology upgrade is designed to streamline portfolio construction, compliance monitoring, order management, execution and post-trade processing across Evans and Partners' fixed income MDA portfolios. MDAs allow portfolio managers to actively manage investments on behalf of clients within an agreed investment mandate and have become increasingly popular among advisers seeking scalable portfolio management solutions. Evans and Partners head of fixed income James O'Hare said: "Bloomberg gives us the institutional-grade technology needed to support the growth of our Active Bond MDA workflow and their suite of front-to-back solutions for the buy-side will help us improve operational efficiency, strengthen oversight and continue to enhance the fixed income solutions we provide to advisers and clients." Evans and Partners oversees around $35 billion in funds under advice. Bloomberg head of Australia and New Zealand Ben Pool said demand for managed accounts continued to increase as advisers looked for more efficient ways to deliver sophisticated investment strategies. "We are seeing continued growth in Australia's managed account market, driven by demand for sophisticated income-focused investment strategies and more efficient adviser workflows," Pool said. The announcement follows Bloomberg's launch earlier this year of its Australia Domestic Equity Indices, which include 36 benchmarks designed to provide investors with broad and investable exposure to the Australian share market for benchmarking, asset allocation and investment product development. The indices cover traditional growth and value style indices, factor index strategies, ESG strategies and other thematics. Flagship equity benchmarks include the World, Developed Markets and Emerging Markets Large & Mid Cap Indices, as well as the Bloomberg 500 (B500) Index.
