The carrier will connect Trenton with Charleston, South Carolina twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays, with introductory fares originally offered from $59 one way. The launch makes Breeze the third scheduled airline serving Trenton-Mercer Airport and starts a wider expansion that will eventually give travelers additional Breeze connections from the airport to destinations in Florida. Breeze enters Trenton with Charleston flights. The new Trenton-Charleston route operates twice weekly and gives passengers in central New Jersey another nonstop option to one of the most popular leisure destinations in the southeastern United States. Breeze announced the route earlier this year as part of an 11-route expansion that added Trenton, Baltimore and Dayton to its network. Breeze also offers a one-stop, no-change-of-plane BreezeThru connection from Trenton to Fort Lauderdale through Charleston from the first day of service. The airline will later expand its Trenton operation with additional Florida flying. The carrier specialises in connecting secondary U.S. airports with leisure destinations where nonstop competition is often limited. Its network now includes more than 90 destinations across the United States, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. More Florida flights are coming. Breeze will add nonstop Trenton-Vero Beach flights later this month, with service scheduled to begin September 30. The route will initially operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays before shifting to Thursdays and Sundays in January. Nonstop service between Trenton and Fort Myers is also planned, giving the airport another Florida leisure connection as Breeze builds out its presence in New Jersey. Most Breeze routes are operated with Airbus A220-300 aircraft configured for 137 passengers, including extra-legroom seating options alongside the carrier's lowest-cost fares. Trenton gets another scheduled airline. Breeze's arrival broadens the airline mix at Trenton-Mercer, an alternative airport for travelers in New Jersey and the wider Philadelphia region who want to avoid larger hubs such as Newark and Philadelphia International. The airline joins Frontier and Allegiant at the airport.
