Nvidia revamps communications team amid surge in its public visibility.

Nvidia revamps communications team amid surge in its public visibility. As Nvidia cements its position at the center of the artificial intelligence revolution, the company's communications organization is undergoing major changes to keep pace with its rising profile and evolving business priorities. The internal reshaping has brought multiple teams under new leadership and led to a wave of staff turnover, signaling a new chapter for the chipmaker's messaging efforts. Since 2025, approximately 15 communications employees have parted ways with Nvidia, according to LinkedIn profiles and interviews with former staff cited by Business Insider. These exits come amid broader growth for the group, which now numbers about 70 to 80 people globally, more than doubling in size since Mylene Mangalindan joined as vice president of corporate communications in 2023, a person familiar with the company told Business Insider. Nvidia's communications team has historically operated with lean staffing, even as the company's prominence and workload expanded rapidly with the surging interest in AI. Former employees describe long hours, heavy multitasking, and pressure to respond swiftly to internal messages, with some noting the challenge of taking time off, particularly during peak periods. A person close to Nvidia said the nimble team structure supports fast decision-making but acknowledges that it can require employees to work longer hours. Mangalindan is said to encourage staff to take vacation, though the organization's small size can complicate scheduling, especially in the summer. The leadership transition has also been marked by rapid departures among recent hires. Anna Soellner, who was brought on to lead corporate communications, left Nvidia after roughly four months on the job, as previously reported by Business Insider. The changes in personnel coincide with structural consolidation under Mangalindan's leadership. Mangalindan, formerly of advisory firm Brunswick Group, was brought in to "bring fresh blood" and "upgrade the team," according to a former employee. She succeeded longtime communications chief Bob Sherbin, who retired in 2024. By the end of 2024, Nvidia integrated its enterprise public relations function with the corporate communications team, expanding Mangalindan's remit as the company's media presence and business influence grew, particularly through the data center unit that now represents Nvidia's biggest source of revenue. Analyst relations, social media, and influencer marketing were also shifted under her leadership in 2025, according to another former employee. Despite the recent uptick in turnover, Nvidia remains an outlier in Silicon Valley for employee retention. The company reported companywide turnover of 3.7% in fiscal 2026, up from 2.5% the year prior but still significantly lower than the tech industry's 21.9% average, as cited in its latest sustainability report. Nvidia's demanding work environment, encouraged by CEO Jensen Huang's emphasis on operating at the "speed of light," continues to set high expectations for accountability and performance. As Nvidia's corporate profile continues to expand along with the AI boom, its communications department is being refashioned to navigate new challenges and increased scrutiny, positioning the company to shape its narrative in the fast-evolving tech landscape.
