Overview

CBEM provides holistic behavioral health and crisis intervention services for adults and children with developmental disabilities, including those with co-occurring physical or mental health conditions. It uses a Critical Intervention Service model that emphasizes prevention through pre-crisis indicators, plus a 24/7 crisis hotline, behavioral observation, training, and ongoing follow-up. Services are delivered through California Regional Center referrals and rely on ABA and psychoeducational approaches with intensive on-site support. The goal is to reduce crisis events, improve daily functioning and safety, and achieve lasting stability and quality of life for individuals and families, differentiating itself by proactive prevention and caregiver training within a community-based framework.
