The transaction significantly expands C.H. Guenther's tortilla manufacturing and distribution capabilities across North America. Based near Montreal, Mejicano operates state-of-the-art facilities that will enhance C.H. Guenther's supply chain flexibility and capacity to serve foodservice, retail and private-label customers. The acquisition strengthens the company's platform in the fast-growing tortilla category. San Antonio-headquartered C.H. Guenther employs over 5,000 people across 30 manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada and Western Europe. The company is owned by PPC along with management and co-investors. Transaction terms were not disclosed.
