Campspot expands OTA network with Expedia integration.

Campspot expands OTA network with Expedia integration. Campspot, a campground management and reservation software, announces a new integration with Expedia, the latest addition to Campspot's growing suite of Online Travel Agency (OTA) partnerships that already include Booking.com, Airbnb and Vrbo. The announcement advances Campspot's deliberate strategy to build the most comprehensive online distribution network in outdoor hospitality, removing the barriers that have historically kept campgrounds isolated from mainstream travel audiences, according to a press release. "As consumer demand for nature-based tourism continues its upward trajectory, the lines between traditional hospitality and outdoor accommodation have blurred," stated the release. "Today's travelers expect the same level of accessibility and digital convenience when booking in the outdoor hospitality industry as they do with a traditional hotel room. Campspot's integration with Expedia directly solves this industry challenge, standardizing campground inventory within one of the world's largest travel marketplaces." "Campspot already offers campgrounds broad exposure through both exclusive and mainstream channels, and this integration further extends our leadership in campground distribution," said Michael Scheinman, CEO of Campspot. "By integrating with Expedia, we are elevating campgrounds onto the global stage, giving them equal visibility alongside major hotel brands and resorts. It enables park operators to tap into global demand and capture travelers who may not have been able to discover them through traditional channels." Historically, campground operators faced fragmented distribution options, requiring manual effort and additional marketing budgets to reach audiences outside of specialized camping directories. Campspot's multi-channel distribution strategy directly addresses this gap. In addition to its OTA integrations, which now span four of the world's largest travel platforms, Campspot continues to invest in campground-specific distribution channels and strategic improvements to prioritize seamless connectivity to these channels, noted the release. The Campspot Marketplace drives roughly 10% of all online bookings at participating campgrounds, and Campspot holds Elite PMS Partner status with Spot2Nite, a leading campground-focused booking network. Additional OTA partnerships are planned for announcement in the coming months. "This integration changes the economic landscape for park owners by further expanding their digital reach," according to the release. "It allows small businesses and independent resorts alike to capitalize on shifting consumer travel habits, filling mid-week gaps and shoulder seasons by capturing the everyday leisure traveler." The integration is currently active and available across North America, positioning campground operators to capture a broader share of upcoming peak travel seasons. Feb 10, 2026, 09:20 ET The fifth annual program recognizes top parks across the U.S. and Canada, selected through an extensive analysis of 3.3 million data points and category-specific criteria. GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Feb. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ - Campspot, North America's leading campground booking platform, announced the winners of the 2026 Campspot Awards today, an annual program recognizing top-performing campgrounds across its marketplace in the United States and Canada. Now in its fifth year, the Campspot Awards highlight parks that consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences, spanning family resorts, riverfront retreats, glamping destinations, and campgrounds known for one-of-a-kind programming and amenities. Winners were determined through an extensive review of more than 3.3 million data points, including guest ratings, reservation data, park features, the quality of Marketplace listing pages, and category-specific rankings. The Campspot Awards are designed to help campers discover exceptional outdoor stays, and to spotlight the park teams behind them. As one of the largest campground marketplaces, Campspot will amplify this year's winners across its camper community throughout the season. The 2026 winners reflect the evolving ways people camp today, whether at a big, amenity-rich family resort, a glamping-forward destination, or a campground that turns a weekend stay into something communal and memorable. That's especially relevant as recent Campspot research shows many travelers are prioritizing reconnection and shared experiences in their 2026 travel plans. "Campgrounds are more than places to stay. They're places where memories get made, traditions start, and community shows up," said Jeff Bettin, General Manager of Marketplace at Campspot. "The Campspot Awards are our way of recognizing parks that consistently deliver standout guest experiences, backed by data, and celebrating the people who make those experiences happen." 2026 Campspot Awards Highlights: A one-of-a-kind Hill Country getaway on the Guadalupe River with a resort-style pool scene, plus a swim-up bar, waterslides, and high-energy programming that turns a standard camping weekend into a real vacation. A sprawling Lake Erie resort known for its sandy shoreline and family energy, with water attractions, on-site dining, and an activity lineup including unlimited mini golf and paddle boating that makes it feel like a true summer destination. A repeat standout that pairs basecamp access to Northern Arizona adventures with elevated on-site comfort like full-hookup big-rig sites, cabins and glamping, plus a heated pool and hot tubs that make it easy to unwind after a day out. A polished coastal stay on Rehoboth Bay with a private, pet-friendly beach, two pools (including an adults pool with a swim-up bar), and on-site dining, built for campers who want waterfront relaxation with resort-level convenience. A family-run campground that stands out for its themed-weekends, with everything from Retro Rewind to an on-site Renaissance Faire, plus unique touches like a pet beach and gem mining experience that give families much more than a standard stay. A true family destination with big-ticket experiences, including America's largest floating obstacle course, high ropes, laser tag, and even a signature drone show that make for a truly memorable trip. Campspot touts AI-Powered Occupancy Prediction & Pricing recs. Campspot, an online marketplace for booking camping and RV trips, recently held its very first Camp Campspot - Campspot's inaugural user conference dedicated to education, inspiration and community building. More than 100 campground operators, industry leaders and partners came together for the conference. At the event, Campspot officially unveiled its AI-Powered Occupancy Prediction & Pricing Recommendations, giving attendees a first look at a release that will be coming soon to Campspot, marking the next chapter in campground revenue management leadership. Operators will be able to see predictive occupancy data and pricing recommendations side by side, right within the workflows they already use every day, the company said. A major step forward in revenue management. "At Campspot, we've always believed that revenue management shouldn't be intimidating or reserved for the largest operators. Over the years, we've led the way with dynamic pricing, grid optimization and powerful analytics and benchmarking tools that empower campgrounds to make smarter, data-driven decisions," Campspot said. The new AI-powered report forecasts occupancy trends and recommends the best prices, taking the guesswork out of rate-setting and giving operators confidence that they're making the right call, faster and with less manual effort. "We have always strived to make revenue management accessible to operators of every size," said Josh Traxler, chief operating officer at Campspot. "By leveraging AI to predict occupancy and recommend optimal pricing, we're yet again giving campgrounds a powerful competitive edge and helping them maximize revenue potential with less manual effort." A community-first launch. "We couldn't think of a better place to share this milestone than at Camp Campspot," Campspot said. Over two days, attendees connected with one another, joined workshops on best practices in revenue management and diversifyin'g revenue streams, and got a sneak peek at where outdoor hospitality technology is headed. Shaping the future together. "This is just one more step in our ongoing commitment to helping campground operators grow with confidence," the company said. We'll continue to pair thoughtful product innovation with education and community support, so that revenue management stays approachable, impactful and - most importantly - profitable for operators of every size."
