The company, founded by Vic Yeh, Nikhil Kansal and Jonathan Patel, initially built software for its own brokerage before selling that business to The McGowan Companies in 2025. It now automates administrative tasks including proposal generation, policy comparison and certificate production for insurance agents. Cara reportedly reached seven-figure annual recurring revenue within seven months and now serves thousands of agents across the US. The company has posted 60-times year-on-year ARR growth and works with hundreds of brokerages.
