Carriage Services has acquired McCammon Ammons Click Funeral Home in Maryville, Tennessee, marking its entry into the Greater Knoxville market. The funeral home has served the community for 120 years. Donnie Poteet, the previous owner, said Carriage was chosen for succession planning based on its commitment to protecting and building upon the established legacy. Steve Metzger, Carriage's president and chief operating officer, said the acquisition aligns with the company's focus on purposeful growth whilst expanding its Tennessee footprint. Carriage Services operates 155 funeral homes across 24 states and 28 cemeteries in nine states as of 27 May 2026.
