Cartwheel, the largest school-centred telehealth provider in the US, has launched its Screens & Social Media Programme to help students manage digital stress. The programme, developed since spring, addresses how technology affects sleep, mental health, relationships and school engagement across nearly 400 districts in 16 states. The initiative offers targeted screening, individual and family therapy, psychiatric evaluation and caregiver support groups. All services require parental consent. Students receive care from licensed therapists who help build healthier digital habits rather than simply limiting screen time. The launch follows growing national attention on youth mental health and online safety, including a multistate settlement with Meta worth up to $17.1 billion. Cartwheel's existing care model shows 58% of students with anxiety achieve full remission, whilst school absences fall 62%.

The company has raised a Series B round led by A-Street, with participation from Citi Impact Fund, Britebound, American Heart Association, and existing investors including Menlo Ventures and General Catalyst. Services are covered by family insurance at no additional cost.
