Catalog

Catalog

Enriches retailer catalogs for AI shopping

Overview

Catalog provides infrastructure to turn retailer catalogs into AI-ready product intelligence for AI shopping agents and conversational commerce. It connects to retailer data stacks (Shopify, PIMs, ERPs) to ingest, normalize, and enrich product data, including resolving variants, filling missing attributes, and adding signals from images and reviews. Data is exposed via a Live API and retailers control where products appear while measuring performance by channel for various partners. Goal: enable accurate product retrieval, comparison, and checkout within next-generation conversational shopping experiences.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Catalog raised $3 million pre-seed from Acrew Capital, WndrCo, and Hustle Fund.
  • Retail Brew reported two enterprise deals nearing signature in July 2026.
  • Catalog's launch includes live APIs and protocol support for ACP and UCP.

What critics are saying

  • Salesforce Agentforce Commerce GA in June 2026 commoditizes catalog and merchant-agent workflows.
  • Catalog serves only about six brands; enterprise traction remains thin before scale.
  • If OpenAI, Shopify, or Google own agentic commerce standards, Catalog gets bypassed.

What makes Catalog unique

  • Catalog normalizes merchant catalogs for AI agents, not human storefronts.
  • Hamish Gunasekara and Dylan Farrell combine commerce integrations and recommendation-engine expertise.
  • Their platform targets structured product intelligence across Shopify, PIMs, ERPs, and APIs.
