Overview

The Catholic Diocese of Jefferson City oversees Roman Catholic parish life and education across central and northeastern Missouri. Its parishes and Catholic schools connect religious teaching with worship and service in both urban and rural communities. Diocesan offices support this work through church administration, while parish and school teams carry out local pastoral and teaching activities. The nonprofit religious institution brings together diocesan staff, clergy and laypeople to support the spiritual and practical needs of Catholic communities throughout its territory. Established in 1956 from parts of neighboring dioceses, it is headquartered in Jefferson City, Missouri.
