Jennifer Lawrence teases biodesign-driven hair care brand Mes°. The Oscar-winning actress just posted a link to the brand on Instagram. October 16, 2026, 12:42pm Is Jennifer Lawrence the next celebrity poised to launch a brand? The A-list Oscar-winning actress, whose credits include The Hunger Games series, Mother!, Silver Linings Playbook and much more, took to Instagram Friday to share a carousel of images of her with different hairstyles for various different roles. They range from sleek updos to blond bangs to red hair to super messy and everything else in between. Then a link to a brand called Mes° appeared underneath her Instagram handle, which leads to a landing page stating that the hair care brand has been biodesigned by Lawrence and Arcaea, the biotech company founded by MIT grad Jasmina Aganovic. As of yet, there's no other details on the brand, apart from the tag line stating "a new perspective on beauty" next to the date Oct. 27. There is also a sign-up line for those who want to "get curious." This comes after Lawrence recently joined Instagram in September with a video joking "So yeah, I'm giving it a shot and if anyone says anything negative I'll quit immediately." Arcaea has raised an impressive $78 million in series A funding from investors including Chanel, Givaudan and Olaplex. Other celebrity beauty brand founders include Blake Lively, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Lady Gaga, Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez. Newsletters
Bruno Pavlovsky has resigned from the board of Chanel Limited but stays on as president of fashion at Chanel and president of Chanel SAS, the company said on Thursday. Chanel said the move completes the board's shift to independent directors, with executive representation kept through the global executive chairman and global chief executive officer. Pavlovsky, 63, joined Chanel in 1990 and has led its fashion division since 2004. He is the last of a generation of senior executives still in place since Leena Nair became global chief executive officer in 2021. His exit from the board follows a succession plan begun five years ago by the Wertheimer family, which owns Chanel. The company's revenues rose 3% to $19.3 billion in 2025.
Chanel Neige D'or Oversize Illuminating Powder 2026. Chanel has launched their holiday collection for 2026, and the star piece within the collection is the limited edition Chanel Neige D'or Oversize Illuminating Powder 2026. Every year, Chanel launches a stunning special highlighter which collectors go crazy for, and this year's design and shade is just beautiful. The Chanel Neige D'or Oversize Illuminating Powder 2026 comes with an oversize fabric sleeve with gold thread woven through the weave, and a white and gold label attached to the sleeve. For the highlighter itself, Chanel describe it as being a illuminating face powder with golden shimmer, and the pan is embossed with a wintry design, offering a sparkling finish that lights up the eyes, face and décolleté with instant radiance. For the design of the Chanel Neige D'or Oversize Illuminating Powder, the pan is designed to look like a wintery scene with a ski lift in the center and fir trees either side. On the ski lift, there's a wrapped gift next to the iconic Chanel interlocking CC monogram, and was inspired by the dreamy, intimate atmosphere of a village tucked away in the mountains, and is available now. *This post contains affiliate links. F.P. Journe and Chanel acquire 95% of EBEL from Movado Group. A 95% stake in Swiss brand Ebel changes hands for USD 66.5 million, moving to a consortium led by Montres Journe SA. In a recent announcement by the Movado Group, Ebel is set to be acquired by a strategic buyer group led by Montres Journe SA, with the participation of Chanel (partial owner of F.P. Journe) and industry veteran and ex-CEO of De Bethune, Pierre Jacques. The latter will serve as Chief Executive Officer of Ebel. The Group of investors have entered into an agreement with the American Movado Group. The transaction is subject to customary adjustments, and a 95% interest in Ebel will be acquired for USD 66.5 million - the Movado Group will retain a 5% stake in the brand. An important name in Swiss watchmaking, Ebel was founded in 1911 in La Chaux-de-Fonds - the company was named after the initials of the founder and his wife, Eugene Blum Et Alice Levy. The brand was remarkably successful in the 1970s and 1980s, in particular under the management of the charismatic Pierre Alain Blum. With its chic quartz watches, the company was still thriving while the quartz crisis hit the industry. Ebel was also manufacturing Cartier watches under licence since the 1970s. But because of unfortunate investments in other industries, Pierre-Alain Blum was forced to sell Ebel to Investcorp in 1994, which in turn sold it to LVMH in 1999. In 2003, the Movado group bought Ebel from the French luxury powerhouse. Two decades later, the brand changes hands again. The news represents an opportunity for the American Movado Group to divest from a brand whose activity appears relatively disconnected from its core activities, the American group being mostly active in an entry-level field, which next to Movado, produces watches under license for multiple fashion brands (Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger...) The group of investors led by François-Paul Journe hopes to restore this important Swiss name to its former prominence. A strategic shift can therefore be expected, particularly given the different cultural backgrounds and expertise of the parties involved: F.P. Journe and Pierre Jacques bring a strong heritage in high-end, independent watchmaking, while the Movado Group has traditionally focused on accessibility. The transaction includes trademarks, other intellectual property, inventory and certain other assets primarily dedicated to the Ebel business, including the Villa Turque, a superb modernist house built by famed architect Le Corbusier in La Chaux-de-Fonds. If the share of the different investors is not disclosed, for Chanel, it is also a way to expand its watchmaking investment portfolio already comprising ownership or a stake in companies such as G&F Chatelain (watch production), Bell & Ross, Romain Gauthier, F.P. Journe, Kenissi, MB&F or Kross Manufacture.
