Overview

Colorado Mountain College is a public college serving students in Colorado's central Rocky Mountains through residential and commuter campuses. Its dual mission combines career certificates and associate degrees with bachelor's programs, so students can train for a career or pursue a four-year degree within the same institution. Programs range from nursing and business to ecosystem science, alongside community education and classes for high school students. The locally controlled college is supported by property taxes and governed by an elected board of trustees. Founded in 1965 and opened in 1967, it has its central administration in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
