Comfort Keepers, an in-home senior care franchise, has signed 14 new territories and opened four locations in the first half of 2026, expanding across Texas, Florida, Maryland, Delaware, Massachusetts, California, Canada, Nebraska, Mississippi, North Carolina and Indiana. The growth reflects rising demand for home care as families seek support for ageing relatives. Scott Oaks, vice president of franchise development, said most new franchisees are second-career professionals seeking purposeful businesses with growth potential. The company typically limits new franchisees to two neighbouring territories initially. Comfort Keepers expects to sign an additional 20 territories by year-end, focusing on Texas, Massachusetts, Indiana and California. The brand operates over 600 locations across the US and Canada, serving hundreds of thousands of clients since 1998.
Pontosense has expanded its partnership with Comfort Keepers, a leading home care provider, to power the launch of Comfort360 SafeGuard™, a technology-enabled safety and wellness solution. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in ambient AI adoption across the home care industry. Pontosense's radar-based sensing platform operates passively in the background, providing safety and wellness insights without cameras, microphones or wearables, preserving privacy whilst requiring no action from users. Fusion has acquired the Comfort Keepers franchise in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska, and Council Bluffs, Iowa, marking its entry into the home care industry.
