CommonAI C.I.C. runs a UK-based collaborative AI platform built around three parts: a non-profit membership body to steer the ecosystem, CommonAI Holdings that connects investors with technology developers, and CommonAI Compute that provides affordable AI infrastructure and GPUs. Members such as startups, SMEs, public bodies, and universities can co-develop and access a Digital Commons with models, training data, and hardware designs. The setup reduces barriers to AI work by offering governance, funding pathways, and cost-effective compute alongside access to expert support. Its goal is to level the playing field for AI players by enabling open collaboration, shared intellectual property, and connected capital to compete globally.
