Community Bank beats revenue by 1.6% in Q4 with $215.6M, misses on adjusted EPS at $1.07

Community Bank reported fourth-quarter revenue of $215.6 million, beating analyst estimates of $212.2 million, though adjusted earnings per share of $1.07 missed expectations of $1.13. CEO Dimitar Karaivanov attributed the performance to mid-single-digit asset growth and expanding margins driving operating income growth. During the earnings call, analysts focused on loan pricing outlook, fee income growth potential and the ClearPoint acquisition's impact on the "death care" trust market. CFO Mariah Loss indicated loan yields are trending lower but expects continued margin benefits from asset repricing. Management highlighted cross-selling opportunities from its insurance and wealth management services. The company plans to prioritise loan growth for deploying maturing securities and expects deposit growth to accelerate as new branches mature. First-quarter expenses will be elevated due to seasonal factors.
