What critics are saying

  • Overlapping integrations with Campion, Edrolo, and Inklass commoditize Compass's core workflow layer.

Methodist Ladies' College selects Compass Private to support a more connected school experience.

Methodist Ladies' College selects Compass Private to support a more connected school experience. Methodist Ladies' College (MLC) has selected Compass as its new Student Information System (SIS), following a structured evaluation process involving staff from across the College. MLC will implement Compass Private, Compass's bespoke solution to support the operational needs of independent schools. The decision reflects the College's continued investment in systems that strengthen learning, wellbeing and connection with families, while supporting the breadth and complexity of the student experience. "At MLC we are always looking for ways to strengthen the systems that support our students, staff and families," said Julia Shea, Principal of Methodist Ladies' College. "Compass Private provides a strong platform to help connect information across learning, wellbeing and the broader life of the College, supporting our integrated approach to education." Compass was selected for its strong capability, its understanding of MLC's context and requirements, and its alignment with the College's vision for a connected and sustainable future. By improving how information flows across the school, the platform will give staff access to the insights they need to support each student, while streamlining processes and reducing administrative burden. "Strong systems help ensure our staff have the information they need to support each student's learning and wellbeing, while allowing them to spend more time focused on teaching, mentoring and supporting students," Shea said. The platform will also support families to stay connected with their daughter's learning, wellbeing and experience at school, helping strengthen engagement across the broader school community. John de la Motte, CEO of Compass Education, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering value for school communities through thoughtful, purpose-built technology. "We're proud to partner with MLC and support the College with a platform that aligns to its vision, values and the way it works," said John de la Motte. "Our focus is not only on delivering strong technology, but on being a trusted long-term partner, working closely with schools to ensure the systems they invest in support meaningful outcomes for staff, students and families." Throughout implementation, MLC will work in partnership with Compass, with the College also helping shape functionality designed for the independent school context. "We look forward to working closely with Compass as we implement Compass Private, including contributing to the development of functionality that supports the needs of independent schools and the distinctive way MLC operates," Shea said. The partnership further cements Compass's standing in the education technology and school management sector, particularly among independent schools seeking a trusted, future-ready platform capable of supporting the full complexity of school operations while enhancing connection across the school community.
