Johnstown, PA, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is working as a partner on a cutting-edge research project with the Robotics Research Center (RRC) at the United States Military Academy, West Point. The project focuses on designing and engineering a machine learning (ML) model-stealing pipeline as part of an AI Security Assessment Tool for automated developmental test and evaluation tools and metrics. CTC is also conducting novel scientific research with the RRC using this innovative pipeline. The ML model-stealing pipeline addresses critical security vulnerabilities in artificial intelligence systems. Use cases for this technology include identifying which ML model architectures and training techniques are more susceptible to privacy leaks and developing and testing defenses such as differential privacy or adversarial training to protect against various stealing attacks. Additional applications include evaluating privacy-preserving techniques that make it harder for attackers to infer hidden characteristics of training datasets, revealing which architectures are inherently more resistant to different attack types, and identifying specific model components or features most vulnerable to exploitation. What does the Marine Corps contract cover? The multi-year award covers OT cybersecurity services for securing and modernizing FRCS in multiple Marine Corps installations. CTC will partner with RMC Global to deliver strategic and technical guidance, advanced cybersecurity measures, architecture and customized cyber assessments. The companies will also provide compliance support and policy development. CTC President and CEO Chris Hamilton said the contract supports the company's efforts to strengthen national security and operational resilience through advanced capabilities. The award builds on CTC's recent work supporting MCICOM's FRCS cybersecurity needs. In April, the company received a $21 million contract to provide cybersecurity support for FRCS in the MCIPAC region. CTC also partnered with RMC Global under the award. How will the contract support Marine Corps infrastructure? The companies will support cybersecurity and operational monitoring for FRCS used at Marine Corps installations. CTC said the work is intended to support infrastructure resilience and mission operations. In February 2025, CTC secured a prime position on a multiple-award contract supporting MCICOM program management, operations, communications and facilities functions. Concurrent Technologies Corp. has hired its next chief executive in Christopher Hamilton, a three-decade defense industry veteran and formerly an executive at Parsons Corp. Hamilton will join CTC on June 29 and succeed Ed Sheehan Jr., who has led the nonprofit science and research firm for 18 years and announced his retirement plan in January. Following this leadership transition announced Wednesday, Hamilton will lead CTC's new 10-year strategic plan for the firm itself and its Enterprise Ventures Corp. affiliate focused on technology transition efforts. Hamilton most recently worked as a partner for strategy and growth at the cyber and data services contractor AnaVation. At Parsons, Hamilton oversaw a portfolio of technologies and solutions focused on protecting people and critical infrastructure. He also led the establishment of a counter-unmanned aerial systems center of excellence in West Virginia. "(Hamilton's) experience, vision, and understanding of the opportunities for operational transformations driven, in part, by Artificial Intelligence will be instrumental to improving customer mission success," Jeffrey Harris, chairman of CTC's board of directors, said in a release.
