Overview

Cooper Norcross Health is an academic health system serving South Jersey from the Philadelphia suburbs to the Jersey Shore. Its Camden flagship is South Jersey's only Level I adult trauma center and the busiest in the Philadelphia region; the system also operates a Level II pediatric trauma center and MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. Patients access primary, specialty, emergency, inpatient, surgical, urgent, and rehabilitation services at Cooper hospitals and outpatient clinics, while physicians teach at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and advance care and research. Rooted in Cooper Hospital, which opened in 1887, the not-for-profit system is headquartered in Camden, New Jersey.
