Corner Health has raised $25 million in a Series A round led by Oak HC/FT to help nurse practitioners run their own practices. Combined with earlier funding, the company has raised $32.5 million total. The startup provides an AI-powered operating platform that handles scheduling, patient communication, lab orders, and referrals, allowing nurse practitioners to work as solo practitioners without hiring support staff. The service currently operates in Arizona and Washington state with 70 nurse practitioners using the platform. Corner Health targets the 27 US states where nurse practitioners have full practice authority. Some practitioners using the platform have already doubled their previous hospital system salaries. The company aims to have more locations than Amazon's One Medical by year-end.

Corner Health's model centres on Cora, an AI-powered operating system that automates scheduling, billing, lab orders, and other administrative tasks, enabling 90% of clinics to operate without additional staff. The platform allows providers to spend two to three times longer with each patient compared to traditional models. Over 40% of visits now include routine specialist services, reducing the need for referrals. Corner Health plans to use the funding to expand its team, develop its technology platform, and launch in additional states.
