Cyera

Cyera

AI-powered cloud data discovery and protection

Overview

Cyera is a cloud-based data security platform that gives organizations full visibility into their sensitive data across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments. It uses artificial intelligence to discover, analyze, and classify data across a client’s entire data landscape without requiring agents. The product continuously scans and secures cloud data via native APIs, enabling rapid deployment and cost-effective operation. Compared with competitors, Cyera stands out by being agentless and cloud-native, offering automated, AI-driven data classification and risk prioritization that reduces manual security work and speeds response to threats. The company’s goal is to help customers prevent data breaches and leaks by understanding where data lives, how it’s used, who can access it, and which configurations to adjust to mitigate risk.

Cyera launches Agent Guardian to secure AI agents amid 480% surge in non-human identities

Cyera has launched Agent Guardian at Black Hat 2026 to address the security challenges posed by AI agents in enterprise systems. The company reports that non-human identities in Fortune 500 companies grew 480% in the last six months. Agent Guardian monitors AI agents' activities, including tool calls, database queries, and reasoning steps. The platform automatically inventories AI applications and agents across endpoints, SaaS platforms, and cloud environments whilst defining access permissions and blocking unauthorised data transfers. Cyera also introduced Cyera Endpoint, which brings AI guardrails to employee devices for local agents operating outside corporate networks. The solutions aim to provide visibility and control over AI agents that inherit elevated human permissions and operate at machine speed.

Cyera acquires Oasis Security for $1B to unify AI identity and data security

Data security startup Cyera has agreed to acquire Oasis Security, a specialist in non-human identity security, for $1 billion. The deal aims to combine Cyera's data security capabilities with Oasis's platform for non-human identity and access governance. Cyera, founded in 2021, raised $600 million in June, reaching a $12 billion valuation. Oasis, launched in 2022, secured $120 million in Series B funding in March, bringing total funding to $195 million. The combined platform will provide visibility into sensitive data and insights about which humans, machines, and AI agents can access it. Oasis has distinguished itself through its approach to non-human identity visibility and AI governance. According to Oasis president Michael DeCesare, the company drives most deals through the channel and plans to continue its partner focus.

Delinea integrates with Cyera to connect privileged identity access to sensitive data exposure

Delinea, an identity security platform, has announced a product integration with Cyera, an AI security platform, to connect privileged access management with sensitive data exposure intelligence. The integration automatically correlates identities with accessible data, helping security teams identify and remediate high-risk access paths across human, machine and AI identities. The integration works via API, with Cyera's Data Security Posture Management system discovering and classifying sensitive data across cloud and on-premises environments. This data classification flows into Delinea, where each identity is correlated with accessible data to create a continuously updated risk profile. Security teams can then prioritise remediation and access reviews based on data sensitivity and exposure levels. The partnership addresses challenges as AI agents interact with data at machine speed, enabling data-aware identity security management.

Cyera and Snowflake partner to secure enterprise AI agents with expanded integrations

Cyera has announced expanded integrations with Snowflake to help enterprises securely deploy AI agents at scale. The partnership, unveiled at Snowflake Summit 26, provides security and data leaders with visibility and control over sensitive data accessed by Cortex AI agents. The integrations include one-click remediation of risky access through Snowflake Access Governance, full visibility into Cortex AI agents via Cyera AI Guardian (launching in private preview in July), and natural-language risk analysis through Snowflake Cortex Analyst. Cyera's platform discovers and classifies data with over 95% precision and enforces access controls using Snowflake native policies. Cyera, valued at $9 billion with over $1.7 billion in funding from investors including Accel, Sequoia and Lightspeed, counts Paramount, Chipotle and Valvoline among its enterprise customers.
