Seaway7 bags transition piece contract for polish wind farm. Seaway7 has won work to set up transition pieces at the 390MW BC-Wind offshore wind farm in Poland. The marine contractor plans to use its heavy-lift vessel, Alfa Lift, to install the 26 platforms around 16 miles off the Pomeranian coast, with an aim to start in 2027. Seaway7 will collaborate with DEME Offshore, tasked with installing the monopiles, and Cadeler, which is set to erect Siemens Gamesa 15MW turbines in 2028. At the end of September, the Regional Director for Environmental Protection in Gdansk granted approval for the reconstruction and construction of port infrastructure in Wladyslawowo for the needs of servicing offshore wind farms. The application, submitted by C-Wind Polska, is intended so that the completed work will allow the port to serve as an operations and maintenance base for an offshore wind farm.
