Capcom data breach impacts 11 million users. What: Capcom disclosed a breach of CAPCOM ID, exposing email addresses of 11.7 million users and compromising additional personal data for 43 users. Who's at risk: Capcom online service users and gaming platforms in Asia-Pacific. Action: Notify users, enforce password resets, and monitor for account takeover attempts. This week's pattern. * Zero-day exploitation and rapid weaponization of new vulnerabilities (PHP2Shell, Arista VCO, DataDog, OpenAI) dominated, with attackers leveraging both AI tools and automation. * Large-scale data breaches affected millions across APAC and Europe, often via third-party vendors or credential compromise (Lindt, Capcom, secra bookings, PingCAP, Treasure Factory). * AI-driven attack automation and supply chain risks are accelerating; enterprises must prioritize patch velocity, third-party risk management, and advanced monitoring for lateral movement.
Arista Networks looks the better buy than Datadog in 2026, according to a comparison of the two cloud infrastructure companies. Arista, which sells switches and software for cloud data centres, posted fiscal 2025 revenue of nearly $9.0 billion, up about 28.6%. Net income was close to $3.5 billion, a net margin of roughly 39%, and free cash flow was about $4.3 billion. Datadog, a software platform that monitors cloud systems, had revenue of nearly $3.4 billion, up about 27.7%. Net income was about $107.7 million, a margin of 3.1%. Arista trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 44.5x against Datadog's 102.7x. Their price-to-sales ratios are close, at 21.9x and 23.6x. Arista's risks include reliance on a few large customers and on Broadcom for silicon. Both firms report third-quarter results in early November.
Bernstein has upgraded Datadog (NASDAQ:DDOG) to Outperform from Market Perform and raised its price target to $350 from $237. Datadog shares rose in premarket trading. The firm downgraded the stock last quarter, citing a roughly $100 million cut in annual recurring revenue (ARR) from Datadog's largest Born in AI customer and weakness in its traditional customer base, which makes up about 85% of revenue. It had expected net new ARR growth from the biggest AI labs to slow to 20% to 30% in 2027 and beyond, from 80% to 90% this year. That slowdown hasn't appeared. Alternative data suggest enterprise token consumption at the largest AI labs grew at least 50% from the prior quarter, and possibly faster among smaller Born in AI customers. Datadog reports third-quarter results on November 4.
