Datasite

M&A data rooms and deal management

Overview

Datasite provides a platform of secure online data rooms and tools designed to manage the entire lifecycle of mergers and acquisitions. The platform works by allowing users to upload, organize, and share sensitive documents with potential buyers or partners while using artificial intelligence to analyze data and track deal progress. Unlike many competitors, Datasite offers specialized tools for both the buying and selling sides of a deal and provides human experts to help set up permissions and structure content. The company's goal is to increase the speed and security of dealmaking for investment banks, law firms, and corporations worldwide.

Datasite appoints five executives to lead AI-driven M&A infrastructure expansion

Datasite has announced five leadership appointments to support its strategy of integrating AI, intelligence, and transaction capabilities across the M&A deal lifecycle. The new appointments include Raj Bakhru as Chief Technology Officer, Andrew Bocskocsky as Chief Product Officer, James Lehnhoff as Chief Information Officer, Todd Albright as Chief Commercial Officer, and Doug Cullen as Chief Revenue Officer for Grata Intelligence. Bakhru and Bocskocsky joined Datasite through the acquisitions of Blueflame AI and Grata, respectively, where they previously served as CEOs and co-founders. Lehnhoff, Albright, and Cullen are internal promotions. The appointments aim to advance Datasite's evolution from a transaction technology provider to a connected M&A infrastructure platform serving the full deal lifecycle.

Datasite partners Rogo on AI deal room integration.

Datasite partners Rogo on AI deal room integration. Thu, 10th Sep 2026 (Today) Datasite has partnered with Rogo to integrate Rogo's AI tools with Datasite data rooms, giving approved deal teams access to live transaction content inside Datasite. The integration is aimed at mergers and acquisitions work, where transaction documents, diligence materials and financial information are often stored in controlled virtual data rooms. Users approved within a Datasite project can use Rogo to query a full project, a folder or a single document without exporting files to another system. Deal teams can therefore use AI tools on material held in a live data room while Datasite's existing permissions continue to determine what each user is allowed to see. Rogo will also show the source behind its answers. Datasite provides software used in private market transactions, including virtual data rooms for M&A. Rogo offers AI software for financial services firms, including investment banks, private equity and credit firms, and asset and wealth managers. The partnership reflects growing demand among advisers and investors to use AI in day-to-day deal work such as document review, drafting internal materials, checking information and monitoring process updates. One challenge is that the relevant material is typically held in secure deal rooms, and moving files outside those systems can create version-control and confidentiality risks. By linking directly to Datasite content, the companies are seeking to keep AI use within the same governed environment as the underlying transaction documents. The connector will be available to Rogo customers with active Datasite projects. Deal workflow The integration is designed to support a range of tasks commonly handled by deal teams. These include reviewing deal documents through natural-language questions, drafting summaries and meeting materials, pulling financial details for models and valuations, and tracking new uploads or open requests in a transaction. In practice, this could allow bankers, lawyers, advisers and investors to use AI to interrogate documents already stored in a transaction workspace rather than creating separate repositories for analysis. It also means any access restrictions set by a seller or administrator remain in place while the documents are queried. The announcement adds Rogo to a broader set of AI links around Datasite's products. Its wider AI ecosystem also includes integrations with Legora and Harvey, which are used in legal and dealmaking workflows. Nicholas Renter, Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth & Partnerships at Datasite, described the tie-up as a way to combine speed with controls around sensitive deal information. "When it's time to make a decision, dealmakers need fast access to the right information, with the security and compliance their transactions require," said Nicholas Renter, Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth & Partnerships at Datasite. "Our partnership with Rogo lets dealmakers apply AI directly to trusted Datasite content - without exporting files or leaving our controlled environment - so they can move faster, close more business and deliver greater impact for their investors." Market push The move comes as software providers serving the M&A market race to embed generative AI into existing deal processes without undermining the confidentiality rules that govern live transactions. For data room operators, that has created pressure to connect their platforms with external AI tools while preserving granular user permissions and audit controls. Rogo said the appeal of the integration lies in giving its users access to the live deal information already inside data rooms rather than relying on separate document transfers. That matters in transactions where new documents, revised figures and updated requests can quickly change the picture. "Data rooms are where deals actually live," said Strib Walker, Head of Product at Rogo. "Partnering with Datasite brings critical deal content into Rogo, so deal teams can run diligence against governed, current deal information in the same environment where the rest of their work already happens." The arrangement is intended for approved users on active projects, indicating that access depends on existing participation in a live transaction. Its central feature is that AI analysis is applied to permissioned content already inside the data room rather than to exported copies of documents. That approach addresses one of the practical issues facing AI adoption in M&A: deal professionals want faster analysis and drafting tools, but they also need to avoid exposing confidential documents or working from stale files. Under the integration, source links and data room permissions remain part of the workflow while teams use AI on current transaction material.

Datasite partners with Rogo to bring secure AI access to M&A data rooms

Datasite has partnered with Rogo to enable secure AI access to M&A data rooms. The integration allows approved deal teams to use Rogo's AI tools on live Datasite content without exporting files or bypassing data room permissions. Users can ask questions about entire projects, specific folders, or individual documents whilst Datasite permissions control access. Rogo displays sources behind its answers, maintaining security protocols. The partnership addresses deal teams' growing demand to use AI for document review, drafting materials, and information verification. The integration prevents the risks associated with moving sensitive files between systems, including exposure of confidential content and use of outdated information. This collaboration expands Datasite's AI ecosystem, which includes integrations with Legora and Harvey.

Announcing Rogo's partnership with Datasite.

Announcing Rogo's partnership with Datasite. Rogo is pleased to announce a partnership with Datasite, bringing live data room content directly into Rogo and expanding what deal teams can accomplish with AI across the transaction lifecycle. With the Datasite connector, Rogo customers can securely connect an active Datasite project and immediately put the information in the room to work. Teams can diligence an entire data room, analyze a specific folder, or ask questions of an individual document, with answers cited directly to the underlying source. But the opportunity extends well beyond search and diligence. Financial professionals can use live data room content across the work that surrounds a transaction: drafting diligence summaries and IC memos, building financial models and valuation analyses, preparing for management meetings, maintaining diligence trackers, and creating ongoing process updates for deal teams and clients. Rogo can combine information from Datasite with a firm's internal knowledge, public filings, market data, news, and other licensed sources to give teams a more complete and current view of the transaction. Datasite has spent decades powering the data rooms behind complex transactions across M&A and capital markets. Investment banks, private equity firms, and corporate development teams around the world rely on its security, governance, and transaction infrastructure. Bringing Datasite into Rogo gives those same teams a direct connection between the data room where deal information lives and the Rogo platform, where they increasingly analyze information, build materials, and execute work. "When it's time to make a decision, dealmakers need fast access to the right information, with the security and compliance their transactions require," said Nicholas Renter, Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth & Partnerships at Datasite. "Our partnership with Rogo lets dealmakers apply AI directly to trusted Datasite content - without exporting files or leaving our secure environment - so they can move faster, close more business and deliver greater impact for their investors." The Datasite connector will be available to Rogo customers with active Datasite projects as part of Rogo's growing financial data ecosystem.
