Daxko named one of the most innovative fitness companies of 2026. * 7 hrs ago Daxko named one of the most innovative fitness and wellness companies of 2026 by Athletech News Birmingham, United States - May 27, 2026 / Daxko / Daxko, the leading software provider for health, fitness, and wellness organizations, has been named to Athletech News' Most Innovative Fitness and Wellness Companies of 2026 - an annual recognition honoring brands reshaping the future of the fitness and wellness industry. Daxko joins an elite group including Les Mills, WellnessSpace Brands, WHOOP, Tonal, and 60+ other industry leaders. The recognition highlights Daxko's role as critical back-end infrastructure for the fitness industry, serving more than 19,000 facilities across 68 countries. Its integrated platform connects membership management, payments, scheduling, communications, and fundraising for YMCAs, recreation centers, boutique studios, and independent health clubs worldwide - supporting 25 million members and processing billions in annual transactions. "Being named to this list alongside the most innovative brands in our industry is humbling," said Jeff VanDixhorn, CEO of Daxko. "It validates what our customers have known for years: that the right technology amplifies what operators do best. We're not just managing transactions and memberships - we're enabling the human-centered experiences that keep communities engaged and thriving." How Daxko is using AI to transform gym and club operations Over the past year, Daxko accelerated its AI-first strategy, embedding intelligent automation directly into operator workflows. The platform now identifies member churn risk before it happens, automates personalized outreach at scale, and eliminates administrative bottlenecks - freeing staff to focus on what drives retention: relationships, coaching, and community. Declared in December 2025, this shift represents a multi-year investment in platform architecture, data infrastructure, and security - with AI built natively into the systems operators already use, not layered on as a disconnected add-on. "AI will become the new operating system for member experience and club operations, and Daxko is building it directly into the platforms our customers trust," said VanDixhorn. This philosophy - that technology should eliminate friction, not create it - is central to how Daxko approaches every product decision. By automating backend complexity, operators gain back the time and resources needed to invest in member engagement, program development, and community impact. Why fitness operators are turning to Daxko Elevate Wellness for GLP-1 and metabolic health programs In March 2026, Daxko launched Elevate Wellness - a turnkey program enabling fitness operators to offer physician-guided metabolic health services, including GLP-1 weight management, hormone therapy, and peptide treatments, through licensed telemedicine partners. With the obesity drug market projected to reach $100-150 billion globally by 2030, and up to 30 million Americans potentially using GLP-1 medications by that time, Elevate Wellness gives fitness facilities a structured, compliant way to participate - without taking on clinical risk, medical staffing, or regulatory burden. The program connects licensed telemedicine providers directly with the fitness environment, keeping medical care firmly with clinicians while the club delivers the strength training, coaching, and accountability that makes results last. "Weight loss is no longer the hardest step. The real challenge is maintaining results through strength, coaching, and community - and fitness organizations are uniquely positioned to provide that," said VanDixhorn. Meet Daxko at the Athletech Innovation Summit 2026 in New York City Daxko will be present at the Athletech Innovation Summit, June 16-17, 2026 in New York City. Chief Sales Officer Nick Thornton will moderate the panel "The GLP-1 Opportunity: How Fitness Is Adapting in Real Time," exploring how operators are positioning themselves at the intersection of fitness and metabolic health. Daxko launches GLP-1 program for fitness operators. March 17, 2026 1/3 free articles used this month. The software giant's new Elevate Wellness program helps gyms and clubs link members with licensed telehealth providers to offer glp-1s and other services. Daxko is helping fitness operators join the growing gym-as-a-clinic movement. The fitness and wellness software giant has launched Elevate Wellness, a program designed to help gyms and clubs provide GLP-1 support and other telehealth offerings through physician-guided metabolic health services. The new program provides support for not only GLP-1 weight management, but also hormone therapy and peptides through licensed telemedicine partners. The idea is to give operators a way to integrate medical wellness, which is increasingly entering fitness clubs, without worrying about the clinical side themselves, as licensed telemedicine partners handle medical oversight, prescriptions and compliance. Even as the program provides a more holistic approach to health, Elevate Wellness establishes a clear separation between medical providers and fitness facilities, according to Daxko. The move pushes Daxko into one of the fastest-growing segments of the fitness and wellness industry - according to a recent report, 17 different fitness operators offer some form of a GLP-1 program, from in-house offerings at Equinox and Life Time to partnership referral programs through brands like Planet Fitness, Crunch and F45.
Daxko has acquired Exercise.com, expanding its portfolio and signaling further consolidation across the software and payments space.
