Dickey's Barbecue Pit is a barbecue restaurant franchise that operates the world’s largest and fastest growing network, offering slow-smoked meats and wholesome sides at locations across the United States. Its products come from meats that are slowly smoked and prepared in-house to create a range of barbecue dishes, all served to guests at its restaurants under the Legit. Texas. Barbecue. brand. What sets Dickey's apart from competitors is its size, long history since 1941, and the fact that it remains a Dallas-based, family-run franchise with a nationwide footprint. The company’s goal is to deliver authentic Texas barbecue to a wide audience while expanding its franchise network and continuing to grow its presence in the barbecue market.

3 Wyoming restaurants diners are still missing in 2026. Wyoming does not have three verifiable restaurant closures from July, so calling this a list of places that "shut down this month" would be inaccurate. The state's latest confirmed losses instead stretch from the end of 2025 into spring 2026. The closures still matter in a state where population and distance make expansion difficult for everything from local operators to major restaurant chains. My latest videos. Video Muted Wyoming's Rib & Chop House in Casper. The Casper Rib & Chop House served its final customers December 31, 2025. The steakhouse opened in 2019 and served steaks, ribs, seafood, burgers and regional beers. It was part of a Rocky Mountain restaurant group rather than a national chain, helping it fit naturally into Casper's dining scene. The company gave customers more than a month of notice and remained open through a special New Year's Eve service. Four other Wyoming locations - in Cheyenne, Gillette, Laramie and Sheridan - continued operating. That softened the statewide impact, but it did little for Casper customers who considered the local restaurant a dependable choice for anniversaries, business dinners and family celebrations. Burger King in Laramie. Laramie's Burger King permanently closed during spring 2026 after customers noticed the restaurant had stopped operating normally. The location had been part of the city's fast-food landscape for years. Its loss was less glamorous than the closure of an acclaimed independent restaurant, but familiar affordable restaurants still become part of a community's routines. Students, families and travelers knew what they could order, how much it would cost and where they could get a quick meal. Laramie residents also reported that the city's Dickey's Barbecue Pit had closed around the same period, making the Burger King shutdown part of a broader contraction rather than an isolated event. The Fort Saloon N' Eatery in Casper. The Fort Saloon N' Eatery closed in 2025, but its disappearance continues to reshape Casper in 2026. The restaurant occupied a familiar property that had housed food and drinks under several names for decades. Its Western atmosphere, casual meals and long connection to the site helped make it feel like a piece of old Casper. The property was acquired for redevelopment as a new Taco John's. Plans called for demolishing the existing building and dividing the land into two commercial lots. A Wyoming-founded restaurant brand may therefore give the site a productive future. Even so, a new drive-through cannot preserve the building, atmosphere or memories associated with The Fort. Wyoming will eventually gain replacement restaurants. It always does. What customers miss is rarely the physical dining space alone. They miss the server who knew their order, the table used for family birthdays and the reassurance that a familiar meal was waiting in the same place it had always been.
